I have a not so disimilar problem in that all my sweat shirts/t.shirts hang below my Highwayman, i don't like it but what can you do ( i am a short guy who takes a size S). It's a look to be avoided really and even more so with an A2 i think as its meant to be a smarter looking jacket the look...
Very nice jacket indeed. It's nice to have a cow hide jacket as well as a HH, i find my cow A2 much lighter and more grainy than my HH. Re; the sleeves, prefer mine a little longer but not as much as some here seem to like. Funny but all my jackets fit with one arm slightly longer than the other...
Thank you for that, not being as articulate as your good self I refrained from voicing my opinion about this awful sexist/pc decision but you articulated my thoughts perfectly. :eusa_clap
I have never seen anyone wearing any kind of what i would call a decent leather jacket (Aero, eastman etc). only awful plasticy looking mal jackets! Strange really.
It was the Lounge that got me into Selvedge jeans , i'v about 15 pairs but just three pairs of low end (entry level) Sevedge jeans. I love them but I just can't go there, my salary or wife simply wont allow it!
umm, nope, i'v three jackets (A2, Irvin and soon to be Highwayman again). I had four at one point (another A2) but I found it too stressful! Yes I know, bizarre but I never new which one to wear, it caused me to feel guilty as I may have been neglecting one or another of my other jackets. Also...
Thanks for that, you hit the nail on the head, could not have put it better. I think Holly sensed where I was coming from and perhaps that was why she was so helpful and willing to work with me to get it right.
Hi, just to update those interested in my pocket dilema, i have now returned my jacket for a trade in against a new one. Holly has been fantastic through-out and has given me the best trade-in value she could, and i could ever of expected, even offered to fast track my order for me, thats...
Yes, I kind of agree, a quick call/email to clarify with me would have saved a lot of bother. I can't help think production would have known the consequences of a pocket under a pocket! However, must accept my responsibility. Hopefully Holly will sort out for me and perhaps my experience may...
I'm glad of that Holly as I always appreciate your time and customer care and am very much aware you likely have far more pressing matters to deal with. Thank you.
Hi guys
Wow..never expected so many replies so quick (posted thread last night, now 7.20 a.m!), thanks. It's kind of reassuring so many of you do not have issue with pocket placement of the kind I have issue with.
I should have mentioned the jacket is not new. I purchased it new 3 months...
:( Received my Aero Highwayman back from Scotland on Monday having returned it to have an internal pocket put in. I was very disappointed and quite upset, the pocket was placed on the same side as the front pocket! I guess it was my fault as I did not state which side it was to be placed and...
umm..that back length seems very, very short to me. I'm only 5.5 tall and my Highwayman is 24.5 (back collar seam to hem line) and that takes 1/2" over my belt line. To be honest i'd of preferred another 1/2". Hate you to make the same mistake again!
Hi Plumbline
Looks very nice, particularly like the colour, would you describe it as Cordovan? Is it steer or horse?how do you like the collar? I really want one but the wife tells me buttons wouldn't suit me! She is usually right. Can't help thinking Aero seem to do it that much better though...
Hi
I wear a size 36" Highwayman, cannot give you shoulder measurements as my jacket is at Aero getting some storm cuffs and inside pocket put in. However I remember back length from collar seam to hem, 24.5". I am 5.6/7" tall. As mentioned already best to email Holly, she is usually very good at...
I never imagined i'd own 3 leather jackets and pay on average £600 for each and consider buying yet another. I love my jackets too much to risk them getting scratched etc so wear them with a degree of care, no tramping through the under growth and so on. Besides I like that shiny new (ish) look...
Thanks MightyEigth. I had not really considered another of Aero's A2's other than the Real Deal but its good to know there are other options that are suitable/comfortable to wear. Also, useful to hear of your experience with the collar stand. I am almost certain to go with Aero now and when i do...
Hi breron
I asked BK what the differences were between his Hse A2 and the contracts. He said the Hse zippers on the Hse A2 are modern with a vintage look as opposed to the contracts which are accurate repros. Also the Hse is Chrome tanned where as the contracts are veg and there for a more...
Thank you Brettafett, so the BK has a collar stand, if that's the case I am less inclined to go for it. I have an A2 by Cirrus, great jacket but for a couple of points one of which is the collar stand. It to me makes the collar look over-sized clownish appearance!
Thanks again.
