Thanks Dave. BK do seem to have a sale on quite often, fingers crossed you get something. I love both jackets but if I had to choose the WP Liberty HH is just amazing and I imagine will get better with time and wear where-as maybe the Capeskin will not?
Cheers
Sorry to hear about your jacket A-1. Sure BK will see you good. What have you got? Only slight issue I have is with the WP some of the button thread has come loose.
Hope you get yours back soon and thanks for the kind comments.
Thanks Dr H, yes Andy was great to work with and very accommodating particularly so with my Waldo pepper, always willing to meet my requests when he could.
Regarding the Capeskin; I am finding that it is despite the lightness/thinness of the hide a deceptively warm jacket. I may have to wait...
Very nice, like the colour. Looks so different from my BK A1 also in Capeskin (see my post) but then I have not done nothing to it other than some light wearing. Do you find the collar still sticks up a bit? Mine does.
Thanks again guys for your kind words. Yes Breton its getting to be a bit too warm for leather down here in the South. Fingers crossed we'll have a c*** summer!!
Yes, thank you. It was coincidence Andy had a Bronco collar as that is also my fav A2. The original WP collar has a collar stand and I really am not keen on them.
Thanks again
Thank you guys. Only sorry I didn't take better pics (a shirt not a T for example) and equally a better write-up, I was getting stick for spending too long on the computer and my son was waiting for his crumpets!!
Thanks again.
Hi, here are some pics of my two BK jackets purchased this year. The Waldo Pepper is a standard 36" in BK's Russet liberty HH. I was not too keen on the original collar so I asked Andy if he could replace it with one more to my liking. Luckily for me he had an Aero Bronco collar hanging around...
How do you guys define a "go to jacket". It's a phrase I have often heard here. For me it's a jacket that's easy to put on and comfortable to wear. Sadly that doesn't apply to my high end jackets,. My less than perfect Cirrus jackets are my go to jackets!
I really think some of you guys should lighten-up, the guy (BK) feels cornered and attacked by certain folks here, he's hitting back as I would. Personally I do not find anything BK has said to be that offensive, perhaps not a great business strategy but that's up to them. At the very most BK's...
It does get a little tire-some this BKK bashing not to mention unfair. Andy/BKK are what they are. You don't have to follow them or buy their jackets but this constant running them down feels wrong and does not in my opinion do FL credibility much good. I kinda feel the moderators should be...
I have one of BK's jackets in Russet Liberty HH. Personally I love it. Very different from my Aero brown FQHH but no less beautiful (in my eyes). It is mid weight, grainy in areas and smooth in others. The colour variation is an aspect I particularly like, ranging from darker shiny brown through...
Hi navetsea, sounds like quite a daunting task to commission a leather jacket from people who don't normally do "bespoke". Would it not be better to have Aero, Eastman, BKK or the like make you a jacket, it's what they do after-all. Unless of course the cost and posting is a factor for you.
