Please vote and help me decide, Aero or BK

Thanks Fanch, great jacket and fit. It was the Russet Jerky Bronco on Aero's web site that inspired me to want an A2. And if Aero had not removed it from their line-up I would be going for that one. Am I right in thinking the Bronco is a good choice for a slimmer (not skinny) chap? Cheers

Please vote and help me decide, Aero or BK

Thanks guys for your replies and sorry I have not replied sooner (working today). I should have mentioned, I care little if any A2 I buy is an exact copy of a WW11 contract. The fit is more important to me. Looking at the poll it seems Aero have the edge and I am liking the pics I have seen here...

Please vote and help me decide, Aero or BK

Hi Guys I still feel unable to decide which A2 maker to go for. I am pretty much clear about other aspects of the jacket; Russet/Russet Jerky, Real Deal from Aero or BK House. Both jackets look good to me and are similarly priced. Both have some thing to offer the other does not; Aero, Tried &...

Roll Call!!!! Show/Tell Us What You Got!!!!

I'm a real light weight compared to most of you guys; Aero fqhh Highwayman (now with Aero getting some storm cuffs & inside pocket fitted), Cirrus A2, Cirrus Irvin style and two Barbours for the rain and country walkin. Plans are currently afoot for a russet jerky A2 (maker to be decided).

A2 or Half Belf, which one first?

Hi Zhz, I am also 5.5/5.6 and of a slim build. Never owned a HB but just know I don't like them and do not think they suit us shorter slimmer chaps. Also, they always look slightly feminine to me as they seem to have a skirty look about them due to the belt hugging the waist I guess. I own a...

    Help needed, which A2 maker?

Thanks Thor, i was not aware Wested and Aviation were UK based, i'll have to give them a look. Alexander seem to only have the one A2 and i don't like the look of that collar. Cheers

    Help needed, which A2 maker?

Hi all, thanks for all your replies. I hope Aero do put back the Bronco back on the menu. However, I kind of sense the Real Deal might be the way to go, as one of you said best keep it local. I'v seen a couple of examples of the Real Deal in the Jerky Russet and think it looks great. Cheers and...

    Help needed, which A2 maker?

Thank you Fanch for your in-depth opinion re; G&B. Off course they are a USA company so I will not give them a second thought, combined taxes and p&p make it not viable. Carlos & Fanch, I really like the ELC time worn jacket but I cannot help thinking is it really worth another £150+ over an...

    Help needed, which A2 maker?

Thanks Flash, good to know he's got your vote (given he's had a bit of a hard time from some members of late!), i like the look of his jackets and the hse jacket is priced at a price thats do-able for me. Quite fancy his steer option as my Highwayman is horse. Steer seems to devlop some lovely...

    Help needed, which A2 maker?

Hi I have been wanting an A2 for some time now and wish to take the plunge and put in an order with a maker. I would like a Russet, ideally Jerky. I am not fussed about exact copies of WW11 contracts, the fit and price are the main critiria for me. I have spent a lot of time reading and...

    Highwayman Hide options?

Hi Guys I am about to trade-in my FQHH Highwayman for another Highwayman but in a mid-weight hide. At the moment i really fancy the brown (very dark) seal jerky horse but its early days and i have plenty of time to consider the other options. What are your thoughts about this? Anyone got some...

Sorry...I now understand the Talon zipper is a good, strong zipper.

I don't think this is a reliability issue with you, rather its about you wanting a more chunkier looking zipper! That's fair enough. I requested the original Aero zipper for my Highwayman but it must have slipped their mind as I got a Talon zipper. I must say i'v warmed to it, it looks good...

Help with choosing a leather jacket

Thanks guys, useful info. I think my budget may determin who i go with for an A2, so that counts out Good wear and any of the U.S makers. Reading other threads it seem ELC jackets are too roomy. I have been considering Aero's Real Deal jacket simply cos its the cheapest! With regards sizing...

Help with choosing a leather jacket

Thanks Capesfwrath and Edward for that. Did the Aero staff go to AL as a result of the Steer/HH scandal ? Just curious. I am considering an A2 for my next jacket and thought i'd go the Aero route for that just based on my Highwayman, service was second to none and the jacket simply beautiful...
