It is. Not hard to wear though. If this were CXL I don’t think I’d keep it. One thing I’ve found is that soft leather is far more forgiving in a tight fit. Doesn’t feel like a burden to wear at all. Feels like a thick Brooks CR.

They are, in the same buffalo check flannel. Doesn’t help with the diameter issue. If these were 1” wider this would be the best denim jacket I’ve owned to date. Really ****ed about it. LOL. Oh well.

Rediscovered. Himel Ni****ing Rider. Can’t believe that I forgot about this beauty for almost 9 months. And it’s not even a year old. Anyway, haven’t taken it off since I unearthed it some days ago.

Tbh I’m not sure...I bought this one second hand. SB does stock this hide so I’m sure they could make one. I’m not terribly familiar with their catalog so I’m not sure how far this deviates from the standard roadster. Might be as simple as zip sleeves vs the standard false cuff...I’d have never thought to try something in this hide personally as my mind is generally one track for CXL. This seems to have all heft, maybe even more, without the rigid/angry nature that CXL has before break-in (and often after). That said there is nothing I’m looking forward to more than midnight blue V2!

I think the car coat is one of the more difficult styles to get right. If you don't get it right, a car coat can easily make you look like in old man.

Looks great on you. I always go back to Matt Dillon in Drugstore Cowboy for car coat inspiration. Its a much underrated style.

Speaking of which, I always forget the model number of the Schott cross-zip car coat they did in the 80s. Need to set-up an eBay auto search for that one.
