Love the brass!Cooler weather this weekend called for a button down and wool slacks with the Vanson:

Working my way up to a tie with a crosszip. As @dannyk described better than I ever could, this jacket is comfortable AF to wear.

very nice. I'm digging on the black and brass look. think I'm going to do something with that next. Is that a C2?Cooler weather this weekend called for a button down and wool slacks with the Vanson:

I love the prune color. Congrats. Here are a few recent pics of me wearing my new Mushmans "Adventurer" jacket which is a modern take on the Indiana Jones jacket in Badalassi "prugna" leather which is a purple/burgundy leather.
The different shots show just how different the jacket looks depending on the lighting.
Thanks! Takes no skill from me. I just pose awkwardly. The trick is just having a good quality camera hahaI love the prune color. Congrats.
As always, beautiful fit pics! You really know how to show your jackets. #fitpicgoals

Last night I found this Ralph Lauren Purple Label shearling overcoat on one of the local online marketplaces. Turned out the seller lives in my hometown so I was able to pick it up today.
It has a little bit of a 70's pimp look to it, but that's cool

Rainy day nylon Schott. Rest is always the same but this jacket is great for when it's raining. Warm, too. Basically a textile 689.
Damn, you’re right about that. They look way too slim for a jacket that size.
first off shout out to Arrow Cleaners and Leather in KC for doing the alterations. It's always scary buying something online, even scarier trying to communicate how something should fit. But they crushed it.
This is a Schott James (aka 165). Haven't seen too many posted around here. I wish I would have taken a before pic, but there was something way off with the sleeves. Basically built for Popeye, like a reverse taper kind of thing. Here's a google image pic of it:
pretty much fit me like that. It only comes in the letter sizes, so Large was as close as I could get. I wanted to make it work because I love that Schott 100 series leather. Naked aniline, real gooey, spongey, breaks in easy.
(sorry about the mirror. dogs had a bath yesterday and there's hair EVERYWHERE)
Perfect fit

$75 holy sheeeeet. Wow. What a steal. yeah, I'm noticing a few differences in the C2, on the belt loops and what not. wow. That's killer.I think it's the predecessor, Model C. I picked it up used on eBay. The listing was pretty bare bones, the pics were terrible, but I could just barely make out the Talon main zip with a Bates pull on it. For $75 I decided to roll the dice. More knowledgeable members than I identified it as a Vanson after I posted pics once it was in hand.
The brass and black is indeed a nice touch. Adds a little more pop in my opinion as opposed to nickel (which I have on my Kehoe CR).
