Hah! I bought the same dome climber for my kids. Covid has turned my backyard into a veritable playground.
Ha, I have the same jacket, like it a lot.Last week. Gustin Trucker. Sorry for the bad quality, was quite late.... View attachment 270546

Some of you may notice that it looks a lot like the one JMax posted earlier today and I promise you that is no accident! I have coveted this jacket since I first saw his posted here a couple years ago and today I have my very own. Super happy with the fit and the feel of this one, i’m on cloud nine my brothers.

Nice.
EDIT: added link to Strummerville aka The Joe Strummer Foundation in case anyone wants to give to them! https://joestrummerfoundation.org/
Today I'm wearing the Wested Leather's Tomorrow Never Dies Bond jacket.
Thnx, those are ralph lauren (RRL), model is called 'Bowery'. Made in England probably by Cheaney. View attachment 265667
come for the jackets, always stay for the hats. Digging it and the other one posted above by Tmitchel. I got a few Sterkowskis in the mail. The peaky blinder style, basically 8 panel newsboy. Can't wait to get them on.
This is Vanson x Iron&Resin rider executed in 14-oz waxed cotton the UPS-man brought me a few minutes ago - couple of quick shots.

Just picked up this US Wings bison leather Indy jacket off the ‘Bay at a great price. Nearly new condition.
I was searching for a non-military everyday leather jacket that still had a bit of a “cool” factor and this is perfect. The bison leather is thick, supple, grainy as hell and the overall jacket workmanship is superb.
Fit is spot on.
Really stoked to start wearing this now that the autumn weather has arrived!

Not to side track or derail this thread. I’m only going to post this one photo then move on. I just can’t help it since you made this comment. This was taken only like 3-4 days ago. The photo woke her up, so I only got the one. I wish I had been smart enough to get video. Gretchen snores like a full grown dad who fell asleep on the couch watching football. She also sometimes lays in odd positions and we get faces like this.
Joe was the only “celebrity” death I ever cried over. I don’t worship heroes but if I ever did have a hero Joe is it. All his flaws just make me appreciate him even more. Agreed he’s the man I’d follow to the gates of Valhalla.Dear Uncle Joe. I remember exactly where I was when I heard in 2002. Only man I'd ever have followed into battle.
Be interested to hear more about this. Not much discussion of Wested in these parts, though in my experience they can make a nice jacket. Only thing I'd have liked to have changed about my Indy would be a more 'period' looking zipper (no idea what's on the film jacket, but something more 320-s Talon looking would be nice for me).
Ah, Bowery as in punk rock's NYC stamping ground back in the 70s? Very nice boots. Rugged without being crude.
I remember Warchild when it launched in the 90s after Bosnia (?) - all Radiohead and the Manics back then I think. Back when both bands were great - before they went prog. Back when the Libertines were first a thing, Doherty lived round my way. (The whole 'London Burning' scene kicked off at a venue a mile to the west from me, now a fancy gastro-pub restaurant...). Used to see him wandering about yelling across Whitechapel High Street at his mates to phone him as he had no credit. Surprisingly tall (and chubby, for a supposed junky!).
Actually, I remember the WArchild cover on the NME about 94ish, and my grandmother thinking I'd picked up a copy of the War Cry(?) - the SAlly Army paper. Funny the things that stick in the memory.
Crackin' pins, all. The "Mall" jacket is reminiscent of a lot of lesser-known British brands that made leather back in the 80s, before either disappearing forever as motorcycling became less popular and imports from Pakistan took over the fashion market. Even among the imports farmed out to Pakistan to save money there were often real gems, just (as you'd expect with a lower price point to aim at) you had to go through many more on the rail to find 'em.
Do post a thread on hats on those - if you haven't already? - I've been looking at Sterkowskis online for a whiel, look like nice hats.
Very nice. Been wodnering how those would look 'for reals' as a beltless version of the classic belted design. Hangs very nicely.
Mine is a Wested goat - lighter hide, as I wanted it for warmer weather, with the advantage of the pockets for travelling through airports and keeping boarding passes, landing cards, passports and such to hand, and no knits to help airflow. Very practical design. Never handled a US Wings version ,but it looks great in your photos.
Vicenza, CXL, or...? REally nice looking hide.
Ha, our Mimi (poodlecross; we think she's a cockerpoo, possibly a labradoodle but as a rescue we really don't know) is much the same. Snores like a tain at my feet under the desk all day, while the cat sits *on* the desk and tries to get in on all my video calls...
We got so lucky with Gretchen. She was a rescue as well. Her Merle coloring is super unique. Because of her coloring they forced her to breed with another dog with similar colorings, and that coloring is a genetic flaw actually. So breeding them lead to many still births and not so healthy dogs. We’re so grateful we can now give her such a good life. The rescue had 650 people apply for her. It helps I went to high school with one of the owners and my fiancé dog sat the other owners dogs from time to time.
The “mall” jacket really is great. For what it is I can’t say enough about it. It hits all the boxes and check marks. It’s not particularly pretty. Doesn’t have anything that stands out. But it’s thick, it’s tough, fits like a glove and is warm as hell.
I adored The Libertines. All the drama and bs that went with them is one thing. But those first two albums were epic and really did put a mark on the map. They still hit me just as hard as they once did. But as I said everything else that came with it was a shame. I’m actually quite amazed that they are all still alive, no less regrouped and working on so many projects. Especially Peter.
Jin,^^ is the octagon the name of the leather? how is it compared to your cxl/shinki/badalassi et al?
Thanks Carlos! Is the fur collar made specifically for the Chopper or is it just a standard collar they make? I kinda want to get one for my Chopper. (is it real fur?)
I don't think it fits.20oz blanket lined soso arrived. Mixed feelings. It’s more trim than I had hoped, particularly the sleeves. I’m stuck in the Goldilocks zone with sleeve diameter these days... Wonderful denim, almost feels more like felted wool. Build quality is nice.
