Here's me today, vintage inspired, but it's cold for our normally sunny So Cal weather. Everything is modern, but I thought it gave a vintage feel, but maybe that's just the hair.
You guys are awesome! Thanks to this thread I was reminded how much I wanted to do Derby a few years ago, but then I rolled my ankle in a mosh pit and forgot about it after I healed. I'm going to orientation this weekend to see if I'd still be interested!
Here's my hair for my parent's Christmas party. I set it with brush rollers, I'll post the set next time I set it that way. Here's my hair before I brushed it out:
Here it is brushed out and styled. I love it, I love the little wave I got, and it stayed all night despite the rain...
Love this, and good to know about the sizing, my hubby is a store-bought size XXL too, so I think this may be what he's getting for his birthday in March. That's long enough after we move.
When it comes to my sewing scraps, I use them a lot of times to line my knitted bags. Or my theory is that some day I'll make a scrap quilt. But I love the idea of using them to trim dresses and the like.
I second this. And I'd add, pants that are hemmed to the correct length for the height of the gentleman. As a woman married to a man with a 27" inseam I understand that can be difficult, but when his pants are hemmed his legs look longer than when his pants gather at the bottom.
I don't know if you found your dress, but I'm thinking of selling mine, I just got married October 24 of this year. Here's some pics of the dress this was the day I found it, I'll try to upload some as I get them from the wedding:
I'm having a big debate in myself right now, whether or not to cut off all my length after the wedding. Maybe if I'll just start setting it at night I'll be good to go!
Inky, I love this, I'm going to use the same tutorial for faux bangs. I'm getting the rat tonight after work hopefully. Also, I love the red, I'm thinking of going that red again after the wedding. Didn't want to damage the ends of my hair as I've been trying to grow it out for a year and...
I love my bumpits I think they're great for the mornings I really don't want to think about my hair. I just back comb a little stick one in and I'm ready for work. Also, I was never able to do the beehive ponytail thing, so I love them for that too!
Here's my hair from my hair trial for my wedding, which is less than 2 weeks away. This is sans birdcage veil and flower, but I'll post pics after the wedding.
I love it, the whole wedding is sort of 1940's inspired.
Reds are notoriously hard to get rid of. I've been dying my hair both at home and in a salon for about 12 years, and I find that when I go red I see it come up through other colors for a year or so after that. This has even happened with black, the red comes back through. The one warning I...
