Has anyone mentioned Sofft shoes here yet? I just discovered them tonight as I was walking through Macy's - some very vintage-y styles, plus the heel I tried on was SUPER comfy. I'm going to keep my eye on this brand.

they have Sofft's at DSW ....maybe not the whole line, but always worth checking for slightly cheaper then Macy's pricing.

My grandmother and grandfather used to order from these old time mail order companies Haband & Amerimark. I decided to give them a looksee for some basic comfort shoes since nearly every pair of shoes I buy bite me in a million places on my feet and ankles. If you wade through a lot of the granny styles you'll find a lot of vintagey looking shoes...and they're affordable and built for comfort. I love these: http://www.amerimark.com/cgi-bin/am...-search promo&keywords=051289&cm_mmc=&wl_lm=0

My Mom has a pair of Sofft's and they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever tried on, she says they are amazing for long days.

I have a pair that looks very 20's or 30's with the perfect heel height. I have worn them to perform and then later break down a stage in; being in them and on my feet for about 10 hours total. They are VERY comfortable and one of my most complimented pair of shoes. I think you can find them several places online as well.

This is more a review then a 'new shoe sighting' but I just had to re-mention these Aris Allen shoes

After getting new shoes for the QM weekend...Including these for daytime wear....I promptly smashed my foot into the bathtub in our room. Score: QM-1 Neecerie-0.

The Aris Allen's were the only shoe I could manage to put my foot into and walk without more pain then I was already in. So seriously comfy shoes.....if you can stick a broken toe in them and still be reasonably ok.

Needless to say...they don't actually go with a formal gown...but there was not a real choice.

OUCH! I hope you are all healed up now!

I just have to say I have a couple pair of Ari Allen shoes and they are indeed sooo comfy - and I always get compliments from both men and women!

But what care I of mere compliments when my feet are so happy in such cute wedges?

I have worn them both quite a bit and the camel ones are so neutral they go with practically everything and I think they are due for a bit of a cleanup, so I am now considering getting a second pair and dye the ones I currently have a nice kelley green to match my latest vintage handbag. I so want green shoes. But they *must* be comfy!

why, oh why, can't we find shoe's like these now???? With shoes today, even if they've got that definite 40's shape and style, they're all boring black. Bring on the COLOR, I love it.

Have you seen these? Super cute, I don't have the colors to match them. They're at Trashy Diva
