Thanks mate
One thing I notice about the 'big 3' is how some wearers make them look like true overcoats, while others give them the appearance of lighter weight jackets.
Coincidentally, the khaki trousers in that pic were also from Aero. They were called Original Cramerton Cloth Army...
Black Veste
Here's my black Aero Veste in FQHH. It's a size 46 (fits like a 48) with 2.5 inches added to both body and sleeves. Two piece back, roll-over stitching throughout, olive green gabardine lining, two internal pistol pockets.
I found the 48 Veste too baggy all over. The 46 feels...
I vaguely remember that Aero aren't too keen on doing this mod, and therefore charge extra for it to be added. Is it something that's really necessary on any of the 'Big 3' (™bobJones)?

'Big 3' refers to Veste, Stockman and Cheyenne.
Until Mad Men, I didn't appreciate how amazing women could look showing less. This coming from someone who only visits FL in order to view Aero (Outerwear) posts... or, it could be that I'm getting older.

Yes, you are right there.
I've heard it said that 16oz worsted doesn't necessarily mean you'll swelter. Apparently, the same rules do not apply to heavy flannel. In the early days, 16oz was considered quite normal. I'd love to experience such a worsted suit; one that hangs like iron. However, not sure I'm willing to take...
Another one here from London. I must confess, I sometimes feel like a bit of a fraud, as I only jump over here to gather ideas on Aero jackets & coats. For that it's been a great resource.

All RM Williams. The claret pair were as the black and whiskey; comfort craftsman sole & innards. I had them sent back to Australia and relasted + converted to screwed leather soles. The relasting turned a baggy boot into the streamlined pair they should have been :). Cost to do this was £100...
I nearly knocked my coffee onto the laptop . I think the OP's opening message should be censored in some way. Maybe an over 21 rating, or just have the scary bits blanked out.
Thanks for posting those pics Andy Richards. Very useful info. I particularly like the tan with rounded buckle. If I recall, they can also make them in cordovan colour (perfect for the cordovan Aero).
I've also found your other jacket pics to be very helpful. Thanks again.
My Aero now...
Did an appalling audition there some eight years ago. It was the Cromwell speech from a Robert Bolt play, "Now Sir Thomas, you stand upon your silence...". I remember about five people sitting there in absolute silence. No reaction whatsoever, as I slunk off to the sound of my own footsteps...
For anyone wondering where they all went, here's the definitive list. Many are still standing, but no longer have boards upon which to tread:

I've noticed how many (not all) 6'2" square jawed types, tend to gild the lily rather than softening their appearance. They'll go for the more extreme silhouettes etc, while ignoring anything that calls into question their macho status.
I'm now of the opinion that...
After a hard day at the body shop, we often degrease and head for the local bar. Mick (painter) gets tanked to the limit and Bob (mechanic) usually ends up in a fight. It's a two mile journey to the cells in a police car. I'm oblivious to it all, staring out the car window, wondering if Love...
Apologies. All understood. It's good to know that they still entertain customers at the door.
I might just try to combine pleasure with pleasure, and do the next dirty deed (LHB) up in kilt land. The Highlands (further north) are my favourite place in the world. Somewhere called Kinloch Hourn...
