Still wearing the black FQHH Aero Veste. It'll soon be packed away and replaced with the same model in cordovan. I find the one inch shorter (body + sleeves) cordovan to be perfect for warmer months. Having the FQHH stop at about the same place your dress shirt would, gives a feeling of comfort...
Will say again: Aero have been the best company I've ever dealt with. I know how annoying the long wait is, but you are getting a custom made work of art.
I'll post pics of both my Veste coats with age/wear. The cordovan is easily my favourite.
Right now there are other gaps in my...
They were £89.99. Colour is brown. Being in UK, I didn't have any shipping costs etc.
I've just looked on the Eastman website, and they appear too have only XL in stock.
According to their way of measuring the hand, I should've gone with a size Large. After perusing FL, I took the gamble...
Bought the gloves. I'm really posting this so others can compare Eastman A-10 brown against Aero cordovan FQHH. I thought they'd be a tad darker in colour. Whatever, they're great gloves.

Sometimes it's simply the shape of your frame & body. I can't explain it clearly, but I've seen people swamped in stock Veste/Stockman/Cheyenne, while others wear the same unaltered coats as trim jackets.

But look on the bright side: you have two potential glove liners staring you right in the face, with probably enough left over for trimming the cuffs :p

Thanks, but couldn't find it. Have just placed the order for a pair of Eastman A-10 standard goatskin. I'm pretty handy with Saphir shoe waxes, creams etc., so maybe dyeing a second pair black will be the way to go.
Edit: Now I see what you mean...
I have no interest in authenticity or vintage gear; just love FQHH jackets. However, finding heavier weight, high quality gloves is a little tricky. After much research, the Eastman Type A-10 seems to fit the bill for my cordovan Aero. So, what about black? None of the A-10 or variants come in...
Not wishing to derail, but this camel hair cardigan is pretty nice as well. Quality is excellent and the staff do know their product. Any thoughts on camel hair?

I have a silly question: is camel hair simply sheep wool of a...
Hi johnyjohny. I don't post here much these days, but I do remember researching my first Aero. Your posts were very helpful. Thanks for that.
Anyway, getting tired of dumping my FQHH on the floor. Would everyone agree that Aero coats wouldn't suffer from being left on these hangers?

Well done ButteMT61. The kind of story I like to hear.
:offtopic: A person cutting all rubbish from their diet for a year, would save enough for a brand spanking new Aero. Plus... you get to look great wearing it. Think about it folks :)

Thanks for that. I've had a few items from Aero, but still get the cold sweats when ordering.
The old avatar picture was taken some time ago. The lighting was also pretty atrocious; didn't bring out the best in me. Probably the most despised avatar ever. I had to change it just to keep people...
Thanks Peacoat. Yep, old avatar gone for good.
:eusa_doh: Of course! All I need to do is measure the length from rear collar to bottom rear hem on my 46" Veste, then ask Aero what the same length is on a 46" Cheyenne. Does one usually measure from the very tip of the rear collar (highest...
Got sidetracked...
So, I've decided on a Cheyenne, if only for a slight change (it's fun). I like the length of the black Veste (first set of pics in this thread)., but want something trimmer for just t-shirt etc. Is the Cheyenne shorter or longer than the Veste.? Would I need to add the same...
Hi Aether
Yes, know what you mean. However, I'm the kind of person who can measure the same thing five times, and get a different result on each occasion. It's hereditary, which rules out family or relatives helping. Friends are totally out of the question, as they're all worse than me :D...
