Yeah, but that thing has had about a bazillion dollars of suspension work done to it. Let's see 'em jump it over a moving train!

Exactly! That thing already screwed up the front end just landing in that clip. lol lol
At least it finished the race, unlike all the totaled Hollywood cars!
Escape from Nazi Alcatraz on PBS's Nova. A crack team rebuilds a glider that POWs hoped to catapult off the top of Colditz Castle. It was fascinating.

ULTIMATE RESTORATIONS. This episode, they restored a 1927 Ahrens-Fox fire engine, for the Kansas City Fire Department. Ahrens-Fox are considered the Rolls Royce of fire engines! The certainly were the most beautiful. Incidentally, the piston pumps used by them are still as powerful as most modern pumps! Is that the one where they never got to use it because they were liberated before they got the chance?
I have not seen that one, but have seen documentaries on Coditz and, yes, absolutely fantastic. I get - fully, completely, personally and with great sadness - the ugliness, the human tragedy of war, but it does also bring out some incredible moments of human ingenuity.
What's amazing is that the prison library had two books on how to build airplanes and gliders. !!!
I'm currently watching the first series of Copper. I'm enjoying it. View attachment 31092
