The newest episode of Fast N' Loud.

The '32 Ford Cabriolet was an incredible find. Knowing Richard's and Aaron's tastes, when I first saw it I thought, "All they can do now is ruin this beauty," especially when Aaron started talking about lowering it and changing the tires and wheels. But after seeing the finished car I agreed completely with the choices they made--clean, simple, and classic. I hope they're planning to re-visit the other cars Richard bought in that "bundle" to show what the Gas Monkeys do/have done to them.

The '62 Corvette, on the other hand...what a mess! I'm not much of a Corvette fan, but I still think it's a shame to see such a rare car deteriorate to that point just because of negligence. I had to agree when Richard said, "A car like this is gonna' take more than it is worth, almost, to restore." And, because I really like cars, I completely understood the mindset when Aaron said, "Now, I'm not a Corvette guy, and normally I wouldn't say we have to have it. But, we couldn't leave with that car sitting back there. The building's falling down around it; there's a good chance it wasn't going to make it past the next storm. And, if nothing else, our job is to get it out of this 'tomb' and get it back on the street. Once it comes to Gas Monkey Garage, no matter what happens to it, it will move on in life and it will do something." But you have to know when to walk away, and in my opinion this particular car just wasn't worth whatever amount of time and effort they spent on it.

Tom is a riot; the way his mind works is God's own mystery. lol

The corvette was hilarious. The owners nephew comes back and buys it for more than the uncle sold it less than a week before. Morons! :rofl:

Yeah, not exactly what I'd call a "tight knit" family.

Then again, the uncle said, "This was a show car my grandfather had...the '62 Corvette's come down to me through an inheritance," and the nephew said, "This was my grandfather's...you bought it from my uncle..." So the uncle and the nephew had the same grandfather??? I know family trees are kinda' funny in the south, but really???

I loved it when Richard hit the nephew with $30k, and the nephew said, "I know what you paid for it," and Richard had to stand there and laugh at himself for making such a stupid mistake. ound:

Anyone happen to catch the last episode of Jungle Gold?
I am speechless on how bad it ended . They were run out of the jungle lost everything again and never even ran pay dirt . For being in the jungle for several months loosing thousands of other people's money they seemed very optimistic on going back? So not sure how they are paying bills when they didn't make a penny ?

Just finished watching 'Peaky Blinders' the BBC' s latest drama....think gangs of New York meets Boardwalk Empire meets The Wind That Shakes The Barley....a great first episode set in 1919 in Birmingham' s Small Heath industrial working class area....some fine acting and great clothes...watch this one!

"Parade's End" was rather wonderful. It found undercurrents of humor in the horrors of trench warfare and the collapse of Edwardian society. Very enjoyable and a nice change of pace from the usual period piece.

Haven't watched that show in quite a while. Originally, I watched the show because of " The Chin" A.K.A. Bruce Campbell, but soon found that the rest ( the story and other characters) that was going on was pretty entertaining as well. I guess that I'll need to catch up.

I would encourage you all to seek out "Broadchurch" wherever you may find it; BBC America in the States. It is a fantastic bit of story-telling, atmospheric, interesting, and I will say little else less I give too much away. Let me at least say that the intrigue is as thick as David Tennant's brogue.

Ah...my old associate, Dinsdale, still has nightmares about Norman.

Just watched all seasons of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin. The last season really could have used a giant hedgehog, but season 2 is still terrific.
