The very last episode of Futurama! Of course, they have told us that before. I still like the show. And, if you don't like it, you can just, Bite my shiny metal... just kidding!

I watched it too. Despite all the hoopla about this *really* being the end of the series, I was surprised that they left it pretty open-ended.

A funny, smart, endlessly creative show that for some reason never grew beyond a cult audience... like so many of my other faves! But we're so lucky that there are now 140 episodes to enjoy vs. the original 72 from the broadcast run. (Though I think the proportion of great-to-average episodes was a bit higher in the first batch.)

All glory to the Hypnotoad!

I have always thought that "Futurama" won the prize for the "most intellectual" show ever made, without being pretentious about it. The best example, which is likely to be familiar to "Futurama" fans was the one where they went to the races and lost their bets. When the Professor heard the results announced he said, "Bah! You altered the results by measuring them."
Any show where you need to be familiar with the Heisenberg Uncertainly Principle - so much so that you have recognize it without it being explicitly named - is a pretty good show.
(Having a statue of Ralph Kramden as a pioneer of the Space Age - "To the Moon, Alice...!" - is mighty good, too.)

The Rolling Stones Charlie Is My Darling - Ireland 1965. Pretty good, when they were still having fun! Strange to see Keith Richards pre Undead days! He really was talented, guitar, piano, even did a fair Elvis impersonation. One funny sean was where the audience rushed the stage, all the members ran for cover, and there is Charlie Watts with a girl wrapped around his neck, still playing the drums, just another day at the office.
