I have now finished Ripper Street.
It has been emotional...

I agree. The way it wrapped up though can I assume this is the end of the entire series? We watched the third and final episode of the last season of Sherlock.
An interesting ride!

I know many (not just here) complained about this last season (it did stray from the "solve the mystery" and/or "deal with Moriarty" story lines), but it provided some meaty background to a number of characters (though I do wish more of Watson's military service had been explored).
The true end, however, did suggest that the pair were returning to their "roots". I think (hope, wish, dream) this means a return to mystery solving....
They've left it open to that, though given how both the leads' Hollywood careers have taken off, I can't see them making any more now.
E,
Considering how they have done both the show and films over the last (can you believe it) seven years, (and frankly, neither is exactly Cary Grant or Brad Pitt-esque), it is easily doable...
Certainly possible, but it seems really only likely to me if they both find the Hollywood work drying up a bit.... Guess we'll see. Of course, Moffat soon is going to be far too busy ruining Dracula to worry about going back to making Sherlock worse.
"Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 4 - The Spoils of War" - To be absolutely honest I was kinda bored with the series this year, it was good but not worth waiting a year and a half to get! This episode was fantastic. Plenty of scheming, sexual tension, swordplay and a battle for the ages. It was pretty damn good! Dragons on the Battle field in Westeros? Kinda like an F-16 with napalm at Gettysburg, serious game changer. Gotta give the Lannisters and Tarlys credit though... with 50 to 80 thousand screaming savages riding straight at me and a dragon overhead... I'd a run so far and so fast I'd a took flight.

Funny, my wife and I have marvelled at how consistently good this season has been, compared to the last one which we found truly hit and miss, often miss. We have really enjoyed each episode this season, and really wonder what Little Finger is up to!
I believe it is the 10th. We saw an advertisement for more episodes the other night. Woo hoo!Good news - that was a mid-season finale, it returns September tenth if I recall...
Caught up on Preacher and looking forward to another episode.
Although I am enjoying this season, it feels as if it is taking longer than last season to get anywhere. I am not a "Fast and Furious" person who must have non-stop action and who doesn't care about character development and pacing of a intelligent plot, but it feels as if much less has been accomplished so far. Maybe, rewatching this will help me see more and enjoy to a greater degree. Still, it is more entertaining than most of what is out there.Last week's episode is the first one this year where my wife and I said "it seems like they are taking a pause".
We are hoping that this is because they will unleash the hounds of hell and mayhem this week!
Oh, I am envious. We are so looking forward to this season. It has improved so much each season. Of course the more you watch, the more you become a part of their world, and the more we have enjoyed.I have now finished Ripper Street.
