Only wearing this terrific Vanson x Harley Davidson vest to photograph for the Classifieds:

I really dig it, but think I'm more of an Aero Shackleton and Iron Heart denim vest guy.

Black Bear Brand rough-out shirt I bought for a song at the trade show. Very lightweight, but with a great “outlaw” vibe.

Loving the looser fitting denim jeans, I've been experimenting with more relaxed sizing of some of my favorite jeans and I'm finding they fit and look even better even if they're a little baggy, especially with a neat fitting jacket. Something classic about that combination. I just repurchased a pair of Levi's 501 rigid almost two sizes larger and they are fast becoming the jeans I grab most often.

Thanks, bro. I’m actually really happy to hear you say that.
The truth is, I bought this jacket simply because I genuinely love it, and I never planned to sell it. I want it to be with me everywhere and through everything.

And yeah, like you said, I think many people baby these expensive jackets because they’re afraid of damaging them. But my mindset is different.
This is a teacore leather jacket. To me, the whole point is to wear it hard enough for the leather to reveal personalized wear patterns and develop its own story.
And the Buco teacore is pretty difficult to fade unless you really put it through some serious use.

I remember seeing a Buco J-24 on TFL that had been worn for around 10 years, but honestly it didn’t fade as much as I expected or hoped for. No judgment at all, I just personally prefer a heavier teacore look.

That said, I have to admit the pigment finish on the Buco is surprisingly water resistant.

Really nice! Is that the one you ordered?

Yes, that´s a style I like a lot recently.

Visually, I think there is a world of a difference between tapered and non-tapered. The later give a clean 1950´s vibe.

I like my pants with a bit of a taper, so the issue is that most of the offerings have a pretty high rise. I solve that "problem" with wearing all my jeans at the hip, so they get this baggy look.
These are orSlow "Dad"-jeans, which are said to nod to the 1990´s.... I have the "Granddad" version on order which is marketed as a 1930´s cut.

Another recent fave is the Iron Heart 684 which is essentially a roomier version of the 555.

Can't wear this jacket enough went out to another hike with it and its breaking in much faster than my horse hide jacket was definitely worth ordering a bigger size with modifications.

is there a file size limit to pictures? I can't seem to upload picture above 8.5 MB

Really fantastic fit. The larger size works well on you, much better than before and I think you will find the extra room handy when you want to layer a bit.
