Love the boots. They are loud in that colour and I am so into that recently; I look at styles and accessories that I previously would've shunned as being not subtle enough..

Unfortunately I couldn't ever wear boots like that due to sizing; I thrifted into a foot health bubble years ago, started wearing shoes with very broad toe boxes and can't get out again, regular shoes just feel extremely tight and restrictive in the toe area..

Sort of a joke but i have much more practical boots and tops to wear for a long tromp through the woods.

1st shakedown of the DHW on the bike. This is the Snakeoil provisions collab with 1mm veg tanned leather and a Cordura lining. Really prefer the lining choice to quilted as it provides a wider range of wearable temps. Also enjoying the thinner leather that has no break in required. Overall it’s more of a hang around jacket than actual MC gear but right now i’m good with that.

As with most of my leather including boots sometimes all of this unevenness fades into the background once it breaks in, then it's often missed from these beginning days

Went to the “Heritage Post Trade Show” today and met with some of TFL’s finest.

A special treat to meet Rebecca and Mark from Satyr/MGL in person. In an industry full of nice and charismatic individuals, they must surely be two of the nicest. Do check out the recent threads on their super bespoke and super local approach to jacket making!

I feel totally privileged to not only spending very good time with them, but also having been able to pick up this beauty of a Car Coat in thick, grainy cowhide. Put it on from their display and refused to take it off again.

How much did this cost, and what is the custom ordering process like? Also, is the hardware any good? I read somewhere that the leather from this maker is pretty good, but the metal/dangly bits can feel cheap.

I got it second hand but it's a Strellson Coat which I think is from a recent season. So nothing fancy or vintage, just surprisingly robust for a "modern" coat
