These suede Schott type 3 are as good as the style gets. Probably the last leather day for a bit as real winter arrives this weekend.

Why limit myself to just one? I wore four cross-zips today!!! ;). Thought I'd amuse myself (and TFL) with a snowy comparison. It's fun to compare the cuts and fit of these 50's jackets. We won't haggle about an inch here and there fit-wise; I love them all. I welcome comments on the cuts! From left to right: Red Label Cal, Guide Master by Wolf, Kit Karson, Spiegel.

It's been a long day but ....are some of those cross zips (all beauties btw) making your legs longer?

Looks like a tank, and love the toss-it-on-the-ground-in-the-elements approach haha. CXL?
That's the nicest Type 1 in leather that I've seen so far. Who made it?
Sadly, no idea who made it other than it being from a small shop in China (no branding, only care tags inside). I bought it like-new for around $100 from someone that didn't want to break it in — absolutely one of my best impulse buys. It does remind me of CXL, but I imagine it's stiffer (then again, I've never handled horse CXL, only cow).

The pullup/overall look does remind me of CXL for sure. I'm not a leather expert, but it does seem like some high quality stuff from everything I've handled.

Very nice jacket. I like the hide and the rivet reinforcement. Looks like it can take a small caliber arms fire. A keeper.

The bestest winter coat ever:)
You have some Wool on the way.

The collar on the Woolrich with the throat latch is one of the reason I bought this one, not a hunting jacket has the lower side adjustments, no game pouch. The jacket identifies as 40s, I believe the zipper is a replacement. It is big and bulky as it should be. A paid a little more for this one for the features I wanted, more a civilian model. I bought it to wear and I do.
