30s? does it have a label?I've owned this work jacket for years, never could get in on. I was surprised I can button it View attachment 578242 View attachment 578243
Schott suede is the best suede for that ropen' and ridin' life.I've owned a bunch of 60s / 70s suede truckers. Schott and Pioneer Wear made the nicest ones with the Schott having the edge because of their thick suede. I never managed to find a Levi's that had a proper fit.
This 70s Schott Rancher is as good as it gets imo.

Like a SuperHero!
This could be the oldest jacket I own. The original that contemporary makers are duplicating for their high $$ reproductions. If you decide you want to part with it let me know!
I've thought the same with the same back adjustment I have seen on Shanhouse. These jackets were in the catalogs through out the 20s and early 30s. Probably a style made by others.Shanhouse, Terry?
Looks like a tank, and love the toss-it-on-the-ground-in-the-elements approach haha. CXL?Getting more attached to this jacket the more it breaks in. Stiff horsehide, it’s like body armor in cold weather.

Can't fault a single one, all have their perfect little nuances, beautiful jackets. Above all, it helps that you're in top shape! Why limit myself to just one? I wore four cross-zips today!!! . Thought I'd amuse myself (and TFL) with a snowy comparison. It's fun to compare the cuts and fit of these 50's jackets. We won't haggle about an inch here and there fit-wise; I love them all. I welcome comments on the cuts! From left to right: Red Label Cal, Guide Master by Wolf, Kit Karson, Spiegel.
