Been a bit since a jacket was on my back, odd cool spell happening in the midwest, quite welcome in fact.

Very nice, unique jacket there Marc. Fits you very well, simple, easy-going, yet very sophisticated all at once.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
I have been looking for a cossack like this for some time. At first I tried finding a true vintage jacket in wearable condition, which I eventually found but it was too small:

I realized finding a true vintage cossack in a size 42 would be impossible, therefore I started looking for a nice reproduction. I tried one of the levis vintage clothing reproductions but I wasnt happy with the look nor the fit:

I also tried a couple of Thedi's of the rack cossacks, they didn't fit.

Today I received this reproduction from RRL. At first I was a bit underwhelmed because its really lightweight and the leather feels a bit odd, almost like fine grit sandpaper. Then I realized that was exactly how the true vintage cossack leather felt like, which in addition was also extremely lightweight. It also features some period correct details which is nice, but above all I'm really happy with the fit. Could not be better. This is a keeper :D

Brooks cafe racer, looks great, CC - my favorite pattern, leather and maker. It just looks so much more authentic than most expensive and over spec'd repops. The pattern is hard to beat. These Brooks jackets are only about 2.2oz thick and often carelessly stitched with poly lining, but I'd rather have a good one of these than any number of high end reproductions.
I agree. I have one in brown. Such an easy wear. Lightweight, almost a windbreaker, and not at all precious. A jacket I can throw on and not worry about messing it up.
