What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Eagleson's Police Jacket, circa 1950, maybe earlier. Some panels are stiff and lack grain, especially on the upper portions of the sleeve and back shoulders, while others are buttery soft and super grainy. Almost like different leather was used on different parts/panels of the jacket. I like it.
JL relined.

I've been hunting for a suede Schott Rancher in a size 42 for quite a while now. And I finally scored one-- just came in yesterday. The suede on these vintage Schott Trucker jackets is very thick and grainy. Best of all, the arms are a little longer than on the equivalent vintage Levis suede Type 3. Short, just like the typical Trucker should be. (Please ignore the hippie belt buckle...)

Not sure I've heard of this label. Nice looking Police jacket. Does it say Talon down the middle of the zipper stop? The pull looks to be square ended.

My new Aero Type 3 in blackened brown Vicenza arrived this afternoon. Fit is just about perfect and the leather has a nice soft hand that was comfortable from the first moment I put it on. It also has a wonderful smell almost as powerful as Horween CXL.
Apologies for the hastily snapped, poorly lit and posed photo. I will try to get some better shots of it this weekend because it is really something special.

Awesome, I've thought about one of these for a while now, if I could just kick the military bug I'd be all over one. Very much looking forward to some more pics.

Nice jackets. May I ask what do you like and don't like about the battered seal HH?
Certainly. Battered Seal is a more matte, less 'red' brown than Aero's normal brown. It 'tigers' very quickly (undercoat shows in stripes) and I really like this. It dulls rapidly, but stops a long way short of oil-pull. So far, I don't have a bad word to say about it- slightly oily hand (like battered tan), but not a problem. Nice smell. It starts to age in a few hours, which is great. After a few more mad rainfalls, I'll put some more pics up. A long jacket in it would be outstanding, too.

Dav, it would make a great addition to your collection. And if you got the sizing right you could probably wear one of these under a B3...
