So nice. There is just something special about these old police jackets. So nice.

Certainly. Battered Seal is a more matte, less 'red' brown than Aero's normal brown. It 'tigers' very quickly (undercoat shows in stripes) and I really like this. It dulls rapidly, but stops a long way short of oil-pull. So far, I don't have a bad word to say about it- slightly oily hand (like battered tan), but not a problem. Nice smell. It starts to age in a few hours, which is great. After a few more mad rainfalls, I'll put some more pics up. A long jacket in it would be outstanding, too.

Thanks a lot, been considering a work coat, either in battered seal HH or seal Vicenza.

I've received a sample called Horween Mustang HH, which is more reddish, mostly rusty look, and more scratchable, about the same stiffness as the battered HH, but thinner. Couldn't find any example on this TFL though.

After some extremely humid days in the upper 80s it's finally back to a steady diet of jacket weather here.

Seems like it will be a nice jacket for some walks in the woods this autumn.

Have a good one,
Michael

One of my all time favorites: custom Thedi canvas shawl collar. I had to go to Thessaloniki to meet Theodoros to get the pattern fit me, but the end result was well worth it!

Just did the same. My wife has been urging me forever to got to Greece with her, so we ended up flying to Saloniki two weeks ago. Had the chance to meet Theodoros and his daughter Alexandra. So, so great, impressive and very, very nice people!,

There is not too much love for Belstaff around here, but they used to be a pretty fine jacket maker. I have an old Panther from way before they were sold and sold again (a big-bucks investment for me at the time) and I really loved it. Today, the leather appears somewhat underwhelming compared to what I have handled since, but it still is cool jacket.

Belstaff is still one of my favourite leather jacket brands, although I have to agree with you, the leather isn't what it used to be. They seem more focused on making fashion jackets now. The two panthers that I have shared so far are the older model however (when they were made in England) and the leather is of the highest quality as you may be able to tell from the photos. I shall share some more older models from their 'pure motorcycle' range. I also have some newer models that I will be sharing over time.
