I sat in pouring rain for four hours at an NFL game in my goatskin LL Bean flight jacket. It’s the only time it ever soaked through. It also has virtually no patina after 42 years.

Aye, these jackets held up in rain amazingly well but the stuff they used to coat them over back then, no wonder. What era is the jacket?

I had a few Italian racing leather jackets from that era that I actually thought could not have gotten soaked through although I'm not sure if the term 'leather' applied to them anymore.

It's been no-jacket hot here in the UK for ever now, so literally the only jacket I've worn has been this Revit Crosby.

It's an armoured motorcycle jacket, in cordura denim, rated AA. It looks like a hybrid between a Type II and a Type III, but there are loads of excellent hidden motorcycle details, like a throat latch that does up the collar, zips on the handwarmer pockets, hidden vents on the chest and back to keep you cool when it's hot.

Even the bottom two fasteners at the front are hidden behind fabric, so they can't scratch your tank.

Best I can do at the moment as for comparison to me I feel like it’s in its own category I have shinki and cxl and all other types of leather I can’t really compare this particular olive Vicenza to anything I own
