In my humble opinion, this is the perfect cross zip. Not too busy on the front and no belt. It looks fantastic on you—the fit is spot on.

Thanks man! I have found myself wearing it without the belt once I removed it...though i do also like it with the belt.

I agree, the back of this one really sold me. I bought it used from eBay and it was not only the design but also the graining/striations across the upper panel that I fell in love with.

I am very glad I brought the Trojan on the truck with me - such an excellent traveling companion.

@soundwavvves belt is from Celine. I'd never spend the same money again now that I understand authentic western style can be found for much less! Awesome looking post of the p656h by the way. Comfortable to wear already and it's showing more and more character.

Cheers @Mickiemac. Your Aero type III sounds like a winner. More like an indigo denim jacket but with that leather character! Right you are about my getting the hides for this custom maverick.

@cl206 this is Maryam wash horsehide I got from Rocky Mountain Leather Supply and brought to Vanson myself. Can order it and have it shipped directly to Vanson once you figure out how much hide you'll need. If you do go that route make sure to ask about color matching the hides and getting the particular thickness you're looking for. The website says the hides are about 3 oz but I came to find out they can vary to between 4-5 oz. Vanson made it work, but if you take a closer look you'll notice the collar could serve as a chew toy for a rottweiler HA!

Update, ended up ordering the DHW Western Pioneer dark indigo size 38, direct from DHW! Kimura was amazing to work with!
