I thought the '80s had very low notches? The auction claims the suit is from 1954... I'll inspect all the labels and take pictures for you guys to judge.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I like the cut of the suit. The lapels are great! I wonder if the jacket is pinned back or cut as nice as it looks. It is a fine looking suit at a great price. What more can you ask for in a first vintage piece?Bogie said:Well, it took me a while, but I finally managed to get my first vintage suit.![]()
I always wanted to have atleast one before the market went completely dry, it is going to need some altering though. Me being a 38R, I suspect the jacket would make a nice blanket until I trim it down a bit.
Despite e-bay fraud, It looks like the real McCoy, but even if it isn't, any day you get a suit under a hundred bucks is a good day by my standards.
Any thoughts fellas?
P.S. Feraud, it's blue.

"Norman! what're you doing? It's not a morning coat!! Why with the underarm stitching?" . . . "Sorry boss". "Oh, well, the customer won't notice anyway, or we'll fobb 'im off with some story about a new innovation . . . English Drape, we'll call it."
Seriously, that's a really weird feature.
