That's pretty damn close to as good as you can get on that fedora. I agree with lowering the back of the crown a little and this would help to counteract some of the profile taper too. Minor, minor tweak or you'll wind up increasing the taper as seen from the front.

Thanks, pal. I'm not dying to unload it - it is a great hat. I just find that I don't give this one much play so every now and then I hint around to see if there's someone who would love it more than I do. If that works out, cool. If it stays here with me, that's cool too. :)
For what it's worth, my green one has no stitching around the edge of the brim but my natural colored one does. My green one is very obviously older so they must have come up with that row of stitching sometime in the '40s.
