What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Thanks folks. I'd say the Vagabond wins, hands down. :) ---------------------------- This is true - and funny. Got my hair cut very short the other day which accentuates the volume of this lid compared to the lack of same in the wearer under it. lol (I've got a Stetson Gun Club which seems...

    Hat Horror Stories

I find no sport at all in learning of that misfortune, but I have read several 'I steamed my fedora til the sweatband was ruined' posts over time here and I always give the same advice: There is really no reason to expose the sweatband to steam. If steam is one's preferred method for shaping...

    What are you wearing today??

Bought this Lawrence Shearling coat a few weeks back at a thrift store for $10. Temps will drop into the thirties tonight and I'll be stuck out in it for a few hours so it gives me an excuse (barely) to wear it. The fit could not be better. :)

    What are you wearing today??

Just curious; what's your size? I have a friend with one very similar. It was issued to blimp crewmembers. Super heavy and quite large for a vintage jacket. He showed it to me and mentioned he was toying with selling it. I could ask him about the size.

Things to consider: vintage style and your style

Interestin'.... It's a case of absolutes/extremes in the SF post. Although I personally do not have any ill will toward someone who is "dogmatic" about only wearing period accurate vintage clothing all the time in every detail, I wouldn't be comfortable doing it. Furthermore, there are very...

What If Money Can Buy ...

GUTS. So many people go around (I too am guilty quite often) with the idea in mind that if they only had XYZ amount of money they'd begin living their lives and acting like the person they wish they could be. They do this instead of beginning the type of thinking, speaking, behaving and doing...

Basic personal possessions of the 1930's American male

I don't have a direct answer but the 'small' cases seen carried in movies may just be a showbiz decision in order to keep the on-camera character from looking eclipsed by a big, clumsy bag. Kinda' like revolvers that shoot forty bullets without needing reloading or always leaving a door hanging...
