I read this original post a few hours ago and it keeps rolling around in my mind. Here are my thoughts on aved's dilemma.
I think one factor may well be your location. From what I understand, it is much more uncommon to see a man in a brimmed felt hat in England than it is here in the States...
By the way, Mr. P., sleep or no sleep you looked great in that lid.
And Garrett, that Borsalino is fantastic. The way the light plays on that color and those shapes. Man, that's a beauty.
It's a 'welded seam' meaning it's taped from behind. Oh, and this evening as I was fiddling with the hat and checking under the sweat band I noticed that this is one of those types that is buttoned into the hat. Five wafer thin buttons inside the crown attach through eyelets in material behind...

Wow.
Mario, Douglas, D-Guy, GClark, Torpedo... Very, very good fedoras, get-ups and photos. Dundee, I dig that full cap! Still haven't found one with the panels for myself.

My 'Stratoliner(?)' thanks you for the great reaction it received. I've posted this one several...
I hope others keep contributing to this thread. I like seeing all types of artwork.
Thank you for the compliments. I have enjoyed doing a series of these style of portraits of my favorite Blues artists. I do use photographs for reference. The watercolor of SRV is out of the style of the rest...
