Slightly off topic but humorous...

:eek:fftopic:
Hiy'all, started out to wear my Smithbilt Futura Western today and it seemed that the stains on it were at the intolerable level...
Gave it the naptha bath and left it out on the seat of my fishing boat (aluminium so no danger) on a rest. Hour or so ago I went out and it seemed dry, just cool and damp from the evening so I brought it in and placed on hte hat rack. When all hell broke loose it took me five mins to narrow it down to the Carbon monoxide detector and just as I killed that the one at the other end of the house went off.
Is sorta funny but also a warning in there :eusa_doh:

Torpedo: That crease strikes me more teens or early '20s but what do I know. Call it timeless. Your usual style can fit into any decade.

Hi, that would be equally right. The first time I presented the hat here, a couple of members mentioned that if I had not included inside pics, they would have dated it 30's or earlier because of the crease. BTW, it was the crease the hat came with. It is the only one I have with such a style.

I had another, earlier, pic at hand which shows the hat's side profile view better:

Torpedo - glad you're holding to standards against "Casual Friday" sloth.
Sue

Thanks. Not that I made any conscious effort. As a matter of fact, I do not have a particular "protocol" about what I wear for any given regular work day, I mean, I have no "set" specifications for wearing a bowtie or a tie, or a sports jacket or a suit. It depends on my mood.;)

I do take an effort, however, when I know beforehand I will have to do some interaction where I consider image is specially important, an obvious case being appearances at court.

Whipped out the Whippet this AM before heading out to do a long caricature gig. It went well. I'm back and I'm bushed.

Nice dog! :D

That ribbon looks to maybe have some rusty tones to it, yes?

Mario just scored a brown Whippet. I have a light tan one. I wonder how many shades of brown there are in the Whippet world?

If you are ever in our neck of the woods give us a holler.
We can talk hats over a cold Sam Adams or a glass of sweet tea!

Looks like that one came through the naptha process just fine! I really like the color of that ribbon against that felt. I'm not sure I've ever seen that particular combo on a Strat before.

Cheers
