Akubra Bushman Color suggestions
The Bushman is a great hiking hat. Lots of coverage for sun and rain. You can put a drawstring on it and it has a little ventilation (very little but it does have two grommet holes). -

Those number designations can be deceiving as well. I have a Stetson 3X Fifteen that is a much nicer felt than my Stetson Sovereign Twenty. The Fifteen is an earlier hat and the 3X trumps the Sovereign in terms of quality. -

I've always wondered if the 7XCB or XXXXXXX Clear Beaver is undyed. I know the X's are not always meaningful but Clear Beaver sounds like the good stuff. -

Looking for a lightweight but stiff summer fedora
If you must have new, the modern Borsalino's are generally pretty lightweight. I'd get a lighter color as well and a tall crown. Having a tall crown makes a noticeable difference. Not having the crown right close to your scalp is key. A lot of vintage hats are quit light like Stratoliners and... -
