Actually none of my twenty's are 3X. I have a Fifteen that is 3X.
I think Jimmythelid suggested that the Sovereign Twenty was a better quality than the 3X. That's not been my experience. I have two of each and the 3X's seem like better felt. YMMV.
Another great day in hats!
Back to the 7XCB today. Taking advantage of it's clay-like moldability trying a different bash. I think I like this better than the Cattleman crease. Could be my fedora-centric bias
Here we go;
open crown
pinch front
And it's an Open Road from the 50's.
50's bash could be anything, they did all kinds of different shaping of hats. Watch some movies on TCM from the 50's. You'll seen big brims, medium brims, stingy brims (late 50's), centerdents, teardrops, diamonds...
The easiest way is to look for the tag under the sweatband
If it lists the crown height (5 1/2 on this Knox), usually next to the size like this one, it's 50's. If there is no crown height listed it's 60's.
A'N'A those originals are looking fantastic!
Hato- The Adam the shirt, combo perfection!
Bowler-Wow, that 25 has a lot of brim! Great for summer
Case-the weekend combos are looking great! You guys are making me think I need a Hawaii shirt
G-That 100 is full of buttery goodness
T.Jones-love the...
New to me Shudde Brothers 7XCB
It came a little rougher than I thought which, in a way is good as I won't feel the need to baby it. I can wear the heck out of it as it's never coming clean
