Yes! I did get my jacket. It actually arrived last week, I've just been so busy I haven't even had time to photograph it, much less post photos. I hope to get some photos taken over the weekend and post. They really nailed it perfectly, it's exactly what I...
I was looking to purchase a Breitling back in January, and had planned to go to an Authorized Dealer in the area (I had a pleasant experience purchasing a Tag Heuer from them a few years ago). I would not be able to spot a high quality fake, so I felt going to an AD was best. A good friend who...
So I just heard back from Amanda, she confirmed they have my order, and it will be ready to leave the factory at the end of next week.
Lets all keep our fingers crossed for me.
My first two experiences with Mark were very positive. For some reason this order just fell into jacket purgatory.
Oddly enough, I am having no luck lately with substantial purchase orders. In January, I ordered a Breitling watch through a dealer in California. I was told 2-8 weeks. At 9...
I have just sent an email to Amanda to appeal to her for help. I explained my situation, and asked her to look into my order. I know Mark orders in bundles, and does not order in specific customers names, but my order is unique enough that I think she will be able to find it. I described it...
Reading and commenting over the last year on this very thread, I have noticed a general pattern. If you order through Aero Scotland direct, wait times are much shorter. Again, it is a general pattern, but those who order through Aero USA are the ones that have been subject to much longer wait...
Since I sent my jacket back in December, while I have been waiting for the replacement, Mark has NEVER contacted me. I emailed him at the end of March just to inquire, and he told me "not until after Easter", but was not more specific. I don't want to bug him, it's not going to get my jacket...
Oh don't feel bad for me. I expect I will love my jacket when it gets here, and I am exited that you get yours so quickly. This is not my first Aero jacket, so I know how good they are. Plus, they've missed getting it to me in time to wear it until fall, so it doesn't matter if it comes in...
Wow, I am jealous. I'm still sitting and waiting, it's been 19 weeks on a replacement jacket. I guess when the factory makes a mistake, and you have to send your jacket back for a replacement, it is NOT given priority status.
I am considering ordering a pair of Whites semi dress boots, but they would be configured just like the Traveler made for Baker shoes. Ordering from Baker would be slightly cheaper, so is the slight increase in cost justified by the custom fit, or are the Baker Travelers a good fit? If I wear...
3rd Aero jacket ordered through Mark Moye, Aero Leather USA, April 6th 2009. I was told "Fall delivery". Ordered with a few modifications. Jacket did not arrive until Dec 3rd 2009 (that is correct, 3 days shy of 8 months). Jacket was not made to my specifications, I sent it back, with Mark...
The standard replica A2 leather from Aero is the mid weight HH, with the heavier FQHH being used on their fashion jackets, and the bomber you posted the link to. I don't know if they offer a mid weight in black. I had a standard Aero A2 for a while, and it is a very good quality leather...
I carry my 1911 concealed all the time. Under an A2, I used a regular Galco IWB holster, worked fine.

When I ordered my Barnstormer in 08, it was $875 USD. It hurt to pay that, but I thought it was worth it. Then the global economy crashed just later that year, and within 6 months of takking receipt of my jacket, the price was down to $725. That hurt even more. Now the price increase brought...
This is what I ordered:
50's halfbelt, seal brown A2 horsehide.
Cotton lining, two interior pockets.
Leave upper breast pocket off, and replace slash pockets with A2 pockets.
No hidden storm cuffs.
They had not left off the upper breast pocket as I requested, which completely altered the...
Yes, you may keep your hat on in the car. Years ago cars were not nearly as well insulated, so hats were a must while driving, just to keep you warm! Hence so many different hats being designed specifically for driving needs (chauffer's cap, etc).
Avoid the leather
I had a leather hat almost identical to that one years ago. Way too heavy to actually wear, it had a stiff fabric sweatband that was very itchy, so it was always uncomfortable. It was hot in the summer, cold in the winter. They just don't work well as hats, stick to felt or...
