Ok, ok, I'll watch the movie!
I tend to think the derivative of the BOP is the campaign hat. My 1920's No. 1 quality came with a shallow campaign hat style crease which is about as much as you can get out of the crown height.
I misunderstood Michelle when we were communicating and I thought dark sable was only available in rabbit. Turns out they also have it in beaver now. Had I known, I probably would have waited for that because I like the darker felt too.
If I were in the market now, I think I would wait to see...
Mine is beaver, just because I'd rather have a beaver hat. Word on the street is that a special (rabbit felt) anniversary edition will be released in June.
Thanks gents, the new vet thinks he has a heart murmur (that the old vet didn't seem to notice this past summer), but the real bill is his dental work. The high end of the estimate was twice that of the low end estimate (depending on if he needs extractions). Hence not a lot of "play" money this...
Thanks @BobHufford and @Frunobulax for the tip, but this cool velour western one went above my budget in consideration of upcoming vet bills. Maybe next time, dog wins this month!
You might have better luck at Club Obi Wan, or reaching out directly. Not sure anybody here has an adVintage. Just my $.02 though, the Raiders hat to beat is the Herbert Johnson.

The normal hatter's tool is a rounding jack. It's the tool in the center of this pic
For the amount of rain we get in the bay area, and for the amount I spend out in it, I generally do not worry about my beaver hats. I don't generally wear vintage if there's a good chance of rain. My go to rain hats are my modern Stetson westerns, big brims are very useful!
Other folks have...
I'm maybe 5'7" if I'm wearing boots, I buy size XS when I can find it, and I'm one of those skinny jean wearing millennials, and most of my hats are now wider than 2 1/2" brim.
XS levis trucker, 3" (rolled) brim Junior Cowboy. Kevin wasn't there that day!
Some of them did come with liners and some of them apparently did not have the row of stitching. There are one or two examples of an unstitched brim floating around. 3/4" ribbon, distinctive bowkeep, mine is 5 1/4" open crown, 2 3/8" but we have also seen different widths.

I resemble that remark...
Yeah, if anything he could use a little more of the Willie Nelson special and a little less of the....whatever. Too much coffee I'm sure.;) (My excuse is insomnia, I swear!)
As far as the OP, this is not perfect because the first row is scaled differently, but...
