I'm a sucker for pork pies, and that's a nice one. I like the crown height and wide ribbon a lot. I used to be strictly "brim up" when it comes to pork pies, but hanging around here has made me favor the brim down. I say wear it however you like it.
Had to go to a funeral in Tennessee today, and along the way we stopped at a Cracker Barrel for brunch. A young guy with a long ponytail down to his shoulders, shorts, an open plaid shirt with a t-shirt underneath, and a fairly decent looking stingy Milan fedora walked in, and when he walked...
I dunno about that, CRH. You may be right, but I don't see much room for a customer to stand on the thing. I always assumed that the cobbler sat on the rounded seat part to do the lasting while the customer was seated across from him, and then the cobbler turned around the other way to make...
Well, Woody, you were right when you said work bench. It's a cobbler's bench, specifically. My old man brought it home (he was an antique dealer) and we used it as a piece of furniture in the house when I was growing up. It basically served as a coffee table/footstool. I just sort of...
David Morgan Panama again.
It nearly became the hat I wasn't wearing today, as the gusty wind nearly took it away from me. Luckily, I caught it just as it was flying off my head. I caught it by the pinch in the crown, and I could feel it give way, but no damage was done. Yay...
"David Morgan" brand Panama

An Akubra Campdraft would fit the bill too, although you'd have to change out the ribbon for a wider one. Everything Australian doesn't have them in black, but others do, such as Australia Direct.
Park Crest silver belly "Western"
I almost forgot about this thread as I haven't seen it pop up in a while. I hated the crease that was in this OR clone when I got it, so after working with it a while I ended up giving it a diamond bash, always one of my favorite shapes.
Before: (bleh.)...
I took my new Park Crest silver belly OR/Strat clone off the hat stretcher today, and it fits about like a 7 5/8 on my 7 3/4 noggin. I'm not going to be able to stretch it any more or the sweatband stitching is going to come loose (it's already started to a little), so I'm either going to get...
