Agreed on the clip-on thing. I just bought my first bowtie, and i cannot wait to learm how to tie one. It really is just as simple as a necktie, i just don't do bowties. Sadly for school dances all the boys opt for clip-ons in tacky satin colors, like that pink one.
Have to agree with you on the ventilation thing. I love the design, but i fail to notice any effect. Was Sea Spray a well-known budget hat brand in its day? Have not seen any info on the maker.
I may have to opt for a straw lid with a looser weave, so I'm not sweating bullets in the horrible...
Sir, it was not in my mind to be flippant about Hitler's atrocities. Let's avoid this thread getting too heated, shall we?
Interesting pins! Not sure how versatile they are, though! Keep em coming.
Wore my Sea Spray straw today. Whenever I wear it, i find my head sweats MUCH more than sans hat. Is it because the straw is bad? Doesn't seem to be doing much cooling!
The Florsheim captoes look straight out of the 30's or 40's. Awesome find, been looking for a pair like that. Same with the spectators, hope they fit well.
Is this supposed to be modeled after Dana Andrews? I know of the Bing Crosby Stetson ad.
EDIT: Welp, couldn't make out the print until now. It is Andrews. What other celebs got featured in these old Stetson ads?
To any 7 3/8's looking for a rad summer hat....

Thank goodness it isn't in my size...The liner is impeccable!
