Some broken rules look good (like dark shirt and light tie) and some don´t (for me), like shorts with jackets. As for the shorts (again and again) - I wouldn´t mind too much wearing them around our weekend house, but in urban surroundings of Prague? No no no.
I´m not sure why they chose "czechs" for this clip and I sincerely don´t know what combination of languages they used, but it´s funny!
To the topic - I am not a gentleman, but if somebody thinks it, I don´t correct them.
This rule really exists, or you just made it up?
What tie would you wear with a black shirt?
I think this is one of the rules I will proudly break in the name of creativity :)
Amazing!
And not only the picture. I found more than 100 lids on the main platfrom on the capitol stairs (plus the small crowd in front of it). If I get it right, those were the VIP seats. As I skimmed the huge crowd in the right part of the picture, the number of hats significantly decreases.
Well, slide nr. 4 has a point and shall be respected by EVERYONE. (and the suit on that picture is very nice)
The slides about showing cuffs and navy blue suits and length of pants are good as well.
On the contrary, pronouncing the pocket square dead, saying that tux can only have peaked...
Of course I want your view-point. Because it´s the ladies we are all doing these things for, aren´t we?
The thing is that I can find only narrow brimmed hats which don´t really go well with my round face. I´ve never noticed it before, but my face is much rounder than a year ago... God help...
So I finally have a herringbone jacket to wear with my herringbone coat. I love this look. One question - what do you think about me and the hat?
Again, the photo is bad, cause I have no usable lights for photographing here.
Once again I stormed my favourite second hand shop, this time I saw and bought this one: (it´s lighter than on the photo, I couldn´t take a good photograph in this light)
Brand is unknown (traditionally German, but the only inscriptions inside are "Feiner Haarhut". It´s made of the...
1939 Czechoslovakian movie "Studujeme za skolou" ("studying away from school"), one of many student comedies. This movie is full of awesome suits and dresses, but this is the only one I managed to capture well. It´s all too dark.
Yesterday, I decided that I need at least one more proper suit and that it´s the best time for buying it, because there are huge sales everywhere.
First stop was a shop called "Blažek". They are normally quite expensive and too modern for my taste, but I gave it a try, because they had...
Pants:

Famouse architect Jan Kaplicky passed away this Wednesday (14. January 2009) in his 71 years. (cause is unknown yet)
I think you may know his work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Kaplick%C3%BD
One of his last and most controversial works was project of a new national library in Prague...
I always try to have at least one with me. But you know how it works - you need it when you don´t have it. It´s not uncommon that I forget to put it to my pocket for a week or so :)
Of course it´s better to have two - one for your nose and one for anything else (like your brow, your hands, to...
I may have written here that suit is not really relevant in my life.
That´s not true any more! (Thank God!)
I just got a "part time" (not really a part time) job in a company that mediates accomodation and other services in Prague. As it seems, my duty will consist mainly of meeting people and...
