Just received an aero black cxl I bought from @TartuWolf, beautiful leather! and fits almost perfectly on me. what do you guys think about the body length of the jacket on me I feel like its too short since it ends above my belt line and sleeves are also half an inch to an inch shorter than i'd like but still pretty good. how does it look compared to my schott length and sleeves and if I ever decide to order a custom made aero in similar style how much would you guys recommend I add in body and sleeves length? should I add a bit to shoulders as well if it's slightly tight?

@benami in my opinion the Aero black CXL fits you really nicely. It's a beautiful jacket and from my perspective the measurements look really good - even if you could somehow wave a wand and change it I don't see a way to make it look nicer on you.

In my opinion the brown Schott seems a bit big, particularly at the wrists. I'm more partial to the fit of the Aero - I prefer to wear jackets that are a tad on the tighter side.

Well done, that's a great pickup!

agreed on the beauty of the jacket! my main issue is the jacket ends above the belt line if i could magically have the length end after the belt (ordering custom made from aero) won't that be better assuming everything else is similar? and yeah my main issue with the schott is the wrist area is a tad too big.

@benami I really like the fit of it on you - the sleeves hit at the base of your wrist and the zips bring the cuffs in snugly, looks terrific. If it were me I wouldn't mess with it. Ordering a custom piece for a 3/4" longer front does not seem like a good plan. I think you ought to just wear it a lot and enjoy it.

Unfortunately, it looks a size too small, although I wouldn't say it looks bad.
Is it comfortable like that? The Café Racer doesn't have a slim fit pattern, as I found out the hard way, and configuring it to be smaller for a slim fit didn't work for me, at least.

I had this jacket and it turned out to be too short for me in the front. I couldn't accept it.
In the photo, high-waisted jeans.

Yeah it's still comfortable not as much as my schott but close enough, if i get that style in custom size and add 1-1.5 inch to length and 1 inch to sleeves do you think it'll work well assuming the chest and shoulders are good as is? or does it look like i should add to shoulders and chest a little bit as well?

The jacket looks great in the chest and shoulders. If you add the length of the jacket, you may need to add in the waist

did the high rise jeans made you keep the jacket? I love the patina on this cxl but 90% of my time i wear untucked t shirts so really debating weather i should save up or just sell a few jackets i have and get a custom one that's a bit longer to fit my usual style and make it my daily driver jacket after seeing black cxl patina I wouldn't mind taking the long road of breaking in a brand new one that fits perfectly

I really like the length of that one(and jacket overall!) but those shorter jackets kinda need some high wasted trousers/jeans to look best, so I suggest you try out the jacket with some other pants :)

From the shoulders, it seems to fit well, at least judging by the pictures. The good thing about the CR is that it also works if it's a little bigger. That means if you want to enlarge it too, it won't make the jacket any worse.

If you make it longer, you'll have to make it a little wider at the hem. Otherwise, it will rest on your hips and bunch up the jacket at the back. The length at the back + 1/2 inch should be enough, but at the front it will probably need to be 2 inches. The question is whether Aero will accept such a front drop (and whether it suits the style of the jacket). If you can live with the length at the front and you mainly wear the jacket open, then it is definitely wearable. I sold mine because I couldn't cope with the length in the long run.

Here's my example with shoulders that are too wide and P2P that's too wide, but too short. Nevertheless, it was pretty cool and I used to wear it a lot. I guess my waistband used to sit higher ;-)
