Doctor Who Live, the one-of special in which the actor taking over the titular role of the Doctor when Matt Smith leave in November will be Peter Capaldi. The vast majority of the show was a spectacularly inane kind of pointlessness, not least presenter Zoe Ball, but the choice of Capaldi for the next Doctor is exceptional and I very much look forward to seeing him tell Daleks to "**** the **** off!"

Especially when he gets a letter from his mother who lives out of town, because the letter was mailed locally.
