Two days of the Twilight Zone marathon on New Years Eve and day!

As a big fan of "The Twilight Zone," and having just watched about 10 or so episodes over the last two day, I can say that the quality is incredibly uneven. Some episodes are brilliant, though-provoking and philosophically challenging; whereas, others are silly and rip offs of early and better Twilight Zone versions of the same episode.

Full Custom Garage. He chopped a 1948 4 door Packard! As MythBusters proved, you really can polish a turd. He also helped a friend get a 2 door Packard running with an old Chevy V8. Both were pretty cool!

Not a very Fedora Lounge related TV show, but I was watching Sportcenter this morning - any reason they can't cover each sport in its entirety versus covering a game from the NBA, then something about Nascar, then an upcoming NFL game, then a college football game and then something about soccer?

Wouldn't covering the news of the day for one sport as one block make more sense, i.e., all the NBA news, and then all the Nascar news, and then all the NFL news make more sense?

Or are they just trying to force the fan of only one or two sports to hang around longer?

if the later, then that is a great way to have a short-term win (I stayed today), but a long-term loss as I will now go to the web more for my sports' news.

I recorded one last episode of The Twilight Zone, because even though I have the series on DVD, it's easier to play it off the DVR than hunt for the DVD.
While Hocus Pocus and Frisbee is my favorite, this comes a close second...The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank starting James Best.
I don't know why but I just get a kick out of this one, especially towards the end. The recent marathon was especially good, showing some episodes they don't normally air each year. Because of this I didn't have to wish anyone into the cornfield, it takes a lot out of me to do so these days.

I don't like that format, Mark. I would prefer a particular sport to be covered in it's entirety and then move on to the next, as well. I believe, as you suggested, they do it to keep 'you' viewing for the entirety of the broadcast.

It's obnoxious and works against them in my case as I find I don't want to watch Sportscenter as much - but I'm sure they market tested the heck out of it and if they can squeeze one more advertising dollar out of this format, I'm sure they'll stick with it.

Often, I forgo Sports Center. In the morning, when I am able to, I switch to ESPN 2 to watch sports radio on TV (Mike and Mike). And sometimes, I can't stand any of it.

I watched this episode earlier today, and have to say the transformation of the '48 4-door was remarkable! I'm sure they would have sold a lot more if Packard made 'em that way from the factory.
