Not the most recent, but the one that has stuck with me the most: on a long haul fight recently I watched an old episode of Mad Men, the one where Joan and Roger get mugged towards the end. The guy points the gun at them, and they calmy hand over wallets and a ring. I'd forgotten how effective it was: it was just so refreshing to see a scene like that play out like it would in reality instead of the usual macho nonsense. For not having to justify himself but simply doing the sensible thing, Roger came across as infinitely more manly than some wannabe idiot who went in fists swinging.
