It’s is a quite a hefty goatskin for sure and the jacket has some weight to it. The design makes for a very comfortable fitting jacket and I like it. I found this in a thrift store in brand new condition and only paid $50, so I’m happy.

Good score for 50! I'd snag one at that price, for sure. Good to know the goat skin has heft. I take it you like the liner okay?

Okay here is a fresh pic from today of my M-422A Willis Geiger that belonged to Lt Commander Walter Rudel. It’s a little bit large on me as it is a rare size 48.

Wearing my 55J14 Pritzker with my P44 HBT USMC cover today.

Was inspired by pic from Korean War of USMC Capt James Parciarelli in his 55J14 Pritzker and P44.

He looks cooler in his pic but he is late 20s or early 30s and I’m pushing 70.

Finally got jacket weather here in northwest Louisiana.

Thanks for the photo. It does look nice. I'm putting this jacket on my radar.

I've wanted to add an ANJ-3 to my collection but this is maybe even better with the A-2 style pockets. Thanks for sharing.

Looks really terrific. I hope I wear mine that well in 25 years. I have a Cagleco G-1 that fits like that and I find it to be incredibly comfortable.

Stay active. Go to the gym. Try to eat right and you will be able to wear it in 25 years.
Oh yeah almost forgot the most important thing to wearing it in 25 years…….don't die. That may seem like a joke and in a way it is, however in a way it’s not. I have already lost a lot of classmates and friends my age over the years. Nothing is garrenteed in life. So just enjoy wearing it today!

Avirex Mil-Spec G-1; obtained this one in brand-new, unworn condition. I found a folded clear-plastic bag in the pocket that had a Navy Stock Number (NSN) bar code sticker on it! This appears to be a Navy-issued yet never worn G-1, and it’s just my size. Thick, rich, dark brown goatskin, completely unworn condition. Vintage heavy-duty Scovill zipper. Supersoft like-new dynal “fur” collar. The white nomenclature tag would date this G-1 to the year 2000. Very happy to add this to my collection.
