Looks perfect to me. Does it feel restricting?
Yeah, definitely. The main issue is that it’s hard to raise my arms without unzipping the jacket. My Schott is much easier to move in. I really wish the Buco J-24 had underarm gussets or some kind of action back like the Legendary Black Stallion, that would make it perfect.

That’s unfortunate. My J24 has an action back which makes it really comfortable. Is your jacket a Real McCoys?

Yeah, it’s a Real McCoy’s. It does have an action back , I was actually talking about the underarm gussets like Schott uses. I think that would make the J-24 much more comfortable when raising your arms.

Fit check today — Buco J-24 size 38.
I feel like my head looks a bit too big compared to the rest of my body. Do you guys see it too? I’m considering sizing up to a 40.
My measurements are: 173 cm / 63 kg, 44.5 cm shoulders, 88 cm chest, 74 cm waist.

What do you guys think?

All looks good, great in fact.

Sizing up is only necessary if the jacket feels in any way restrictive. Sadly, jackets that look great in photos often are too small, so all up to you, really.

Should have read that. Yes, size up then. The new fit is pretty boxy, but then it’s really comfortable to wear.

That’s what I’m thinking too. I’ve actually found a size 40 that looks pretty good as well, and it’s around $1,350. :( View attachment 814553 View attachment 814554

Despite the recent price-surge, this remains one of the great japanese made jackets. I wouldn´t pay european retail for it, but there is a solid secondary market.
USD 1.350 is a decent deal, so you´re all set!

That sounds good. I’ll definitely give it some thought. If everything checks out, I might sell my current one and put a little extra toward the size 40.

You did not include your head measurements (circumference, height, width & weight). So it’s very difficult to ascertain whether or not your head is in fact, disproportionately large in relation to your body.

Your head is perfectly sized and bumping up to a size 40 jacket won't alter that.

The artwork though... Van Gogh cut off the bottom of his left ear and I see that guy in the pic did not. If the whole Starry Night thing is to work that has to go. You might want to have a talk w/ that guy.
