Just returned from a much needed but truly satisfying surf trip to Portugal. Autumny vibes, at least early morning.

LL Corsair (veg-tan cow).

How do you like it? How's the quality?
I really like this jacket, fits me well and comfortable to move in, well maybe the sleeve could be 0.5 inches longer and little threads poking out on the cuff and chest pocket but no big deal for me.

The waxed flesh leather is beautiful and substantial, it smells really great and it stays on my shirts after (in a good way). I love the shade of brown, which is similar to the pictures on their site. Hardware is really good and cotton satin lining is okay, too early to tell how it holds up.

Had rain showers the other day which I forgot to check on my weather app but the jacket took it well.

I was hesitant to pull the trigger on this bc they raised the price recently to $750 (they do have it on sale at $600 on their anniversaries) but thankfully I found it on eBay used only once for $449. Can't complain for the price I paid.

I think it fits nicely and that the next size up would not.

Let that one ride on your shoulders for a few months and the restriction in the shoulders will be less noticeable.

I went to a pizza joint for dinner tonight wearing a not yet broken in LW Rigger. Fits great except in the shoulders and in a year I'll have gotten it to stretch a bit and gotten used to the rest. Think of it a little bit like a watch in that once you get used to wearing a watch you can't tell you have it on unless you reach for it. A leather jacket never gets quite to that stage but worn enough it'll get close.

Agree with @Oil Tanned. The waist and sleeve length will be way too much with the next size up. Schott typically have narrower shoulders and chest.

if you want a change, look for another brand, not a bigger Schott size in that jacket

Thanks both. @dinhnguyen57 interesting, I didn’t know that’s a common pattern for Schott, I’ll certainly keep that in mind for my next purchase of jacket

Public Service Announcement: addition to the Schott lineup!!

Wearing my P642H in honor of the newly released 642HH.
These jackets are a 1:1 match. Same Conmar branded hardware. Same plaid zip out liner. I love my Shinki, but this American tanned horsehide looks every bit as good. Best part though is you’ll save $400-$500 off of what the limited edition cost.
