What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

On the topic of EU Schott, I have seen and handled several, and they are just medium- to top-level mall jackets. All but one of them I've ever come across have some sort of dealbreaker… visible logos, stitching in weird places so they could use smaller pieces of leather, odd patterns… a tip: as far as I can tell, all the EU Schott model names start with "LC", which is helpful when trying to sort out what's what in online listings.

There is one model from them I found that I actually liked enough to give a try, and then only because I found it for €200. It's more of a Lewis knockoff than a Schott pattern, funnily enough. But the pattern fits me well, the leather is reasonably decent (but boring) cowhide, and it's served well as a beater for years. The model is called LCMONTANA.

That being said, you can get a used made in USA schott for the same price as a new Chinese made one

First time wearing this one out. It's a Rainbow Country Highwayman in Tobacco brown. I've had it for about a year but I've been worried it was a size too big.

This one is easily my favourite leather colour I own. Shown unzipped and then zipped.

Great jacket, great hide! Suits and fits you very well. You wouldn’t want to size down here. The HWM is a perfect casual jacket. Works better with a relaxed fit, IMO.

So just how far can Vanson make that money go?

The leather has a really beautiful color, waxy feel, and pull up appearance going on and no doubt the grain will develop nicely.

Channeling my inner Ma$$hole to answer the question I'd say Vanson makes $900 go wicked far! haha

That’s ok - it’s one of our 3 warm months around Chicagoland so hopefully it stays in closest for a while after this

Thanks mate! love that Olive Aero too Vicenza is one of the few leather I've never got to try out for myself but it sure looks beautiful on pictures so I imagine it look even better "in the flesh"

I think you would like it it’s definitely one of there lightest offerings great out the box I have the sunburst in natural Vic also love both

I've been very much enjoying this corduroy jacket from Pike Brothers.

The corduroy is super heavy and robust, and the build quality is as great as always from Pike Brothers(I've had some jackets made by them and all were very sturdy and oozes quality)
