What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I've been lurking for a while admiring the Aero and Schott leathers you guys share.

It's a bit too mild here today for my heavy jackets, so I'm just lounging around in this classic lace-up Blackhawks sweater. (

I've always appreciated the heavier, substantial feel of these vintage-style replicas compared to the modern thin synthetic stuff. The string collar just adds that old-school heritage vibe. Glad to finally join the community and looking forward to learning more about proper outerwear from you all!

I see. Any actual picture of you actually wearing this?

Arrived today. Vanson Ike. Leather is thinner and jacket lighter than anticipated, maybe my lightest Vanson yet, but it is a very comfortable pattern. Like it much better than the praised Vanson Enfield which I also own. This jacket makes me think if it had been my first, it may have been my only one. Ticks all my boxes. Good range of motion, relatively very thick leather, many pockets to do away things… and dont be misslead by numbers on the website, this fits true to size, definitely not a 25“ ptp.

Great jacket! A bit on the loose side and with longish sleeves. Definitely great though.

I did a dye-job on this beauty, very happy with the result(a bit shiny maybe, but that will fade :D)

Cheers!
Looks great, what kind of dye did you use and how long did you let the jacket sit in it?

I see that you even got the zipper puller dyed black.

Those orange/yellow leather tones are harder to wear with light colored skin, I never felt mine looked good on me.

I was gonna dye it too, but decided to keep messing with it and thankfully I was finally able to get the cinnamon/caramel tones I was hoping for.

Eastman Luftwaffe for yesterday's beach 'n beer trip with the Big Boss.
(My wife)
A lovely winter's day, near windless (rare here in Perth Western Australia).
No swimmers at 4pm. 6C min 15C max.
I am an early morning swimmer from November until May, (our warmer months) too cold for me at the mo'.
Luftwaffe my winter fave (perhaps).
BUT there are others haha....

The dye I used is called "Pebeo Cuir Leather" it was the only one I could find here local haha. I do prefer Sapphire or Fiebings ower the one I got, but it worked and I love how the jacket came out. I used pencils to get a base layer, waited about 2-3h and went again where it was needed, then I let it hang to dry about 24h just to be sure :D

Also, that patina is amazing mate, love that deep caramel color :D

Finally cooler.

Lewis Leather “Corsair” in veg-tan cow and Mister Freedom 12oz. Selvedge jeans in what they call “pacific”. Jeans are “shrink to fit” and as of yet unwashed, but I plan to get away with the 1950’s vibes for a while.

The weather looks good! This time next week, I’ll be there (wearing a Lee denim or MF Campus leather jacket)

Okay, if there is a "new jacket" thread, I couldn't find it; my apologies.

I got this one from @commodorekorns - thank you sir.

Not really a jacket guy, but I've been wanting a decent, wearable leather jacket for a while, and this Indy jacket seemed like a solid pick at a good price. I'm going to have to take it to a leather guy and get the sleeves altered a bit, but I've never owned anything that wasn't custom made for me that didn't require sleeve alterations. Apparently guys my width aren't supposed to be my height.

Not sure what pictures you're supposed to take for this - and this isn't the right hat - still working on the hat lol.

Wested Legacy Temple of Doom Indy Jacket - let me know what you think

I would have the sleeves shortened. Wested uses thin leather and this model has a pretty much straightforward sleeve, no gussets or zips, so a rather simple alternation.
