My "youngest" Eastman Luftwaffe jacket today. Although it's not "young" per se.
Still has the original Blue cotton lining showing wear now.
was main re-zippered with YKK a while back, did a thread on it at the time.
No RIRI availability in Australia.
8C on the out, 22C on the home motorcycle run. Perfect for that. View attachment 783437

I own an older version with a leather that is much more black even after years of use, a look that I much prefer. I hope it lasts me a good while so no replacement necessary. The style and pattern is awesome, but this teacore hide.. I don't know..

Could (and most likely) be the sun here. Fades everything over time
This jacket is overdue a leather treatment, but I will have to.wash it down.with saddle soap prior.
It's not dirty enough or stinky for a machine wash
That will darken it, usually does with my other jackets and has with my older Eastman Luftwaffe jacket in the past.

You look amazing. Great jeans, they really suit you. Why didn't you take the bag that came with the jeans?)

Thank you. That’s very kind!

I do like the jeans. A bit wider than I usually prefer, but with a nice taper and spectacular fabric (at 16oz perhaps not a natural choice for spring/summer).
I am not sold on the length. There is A LOT going on at the cuff. I will wait for after the first wash, but I guess I should have them hemmed by at least 2. Inches.

The bag will have its use for stuff in a carry-on etc. I am always happy to NOT have stuff with me as I like my hands free.

Can’t go wrong. Sometimes I think if I would have just gotten a J-100 in the very beginning then I’d still have it and the leather jacket category would be crossed off my list.

I tend to second that notion. I must have burned through at least five different Cafe Racer designs, but I always return to lusting after this one. Thing is, the price is now at a point where I simply refuse to “want“ something.

New-to-me Ralph Edwards G-1 from 1957. I purchased this at the Mister Freedom store in LA on a recent trip into Hollywood.

This G-1 is wonderful. It has some amazing graining and it just barely fits me, which makes it even cooler. This is proper goat leather and mouton collar.

BTW, I can really recommend visiting the Mister Freedom store in LA, it's the only brick-and-mortar location and it is overflowing with goodies. All of the Mister F gear is there plus tons of rare vintage items. Don't waste any time like I did vintage shopping in Hollywood - just head straight to Mister Freedom! (The Schott LA store is right around the corner, too). Here's the front door:
