J100 from Crush On Retro. 1.3 mm Italian tea core horse hide. The leather is a bit stiff as expected for new HH, but it feels good. I’m really impressed for just under $300 USD.

My initial impressions are positive. The zippers seem robust and they operate smoothly. The more I’ve worn the jacket, the more I like it. It’s starting to soften up nicely.

Having said that, it’s anyone’s guess how this jacket will age. I sense that it will last, but it could fall apart in a few years. The jury is still out on that one. At the end of the day, if I get some good wear out of it, I’ll be happy given the price I paid.

Nothing is perfect after all. As an aside, I bought my wife a Vanson Comet brand new sometime around 2003. She probably wore it on the back of the bike with me five times or so. Then it just sat in our closet until our daughter was old enough to wear it. Back then they were using YKK zippers with plastic zipper boxes. After my daughter wore the jacket several times, the zipper box broke. I sent the jacket back to Vanson for a new zipper. Of course, Vanson is known for making ******proof jackets, and they mostly are. In fact, they no longer use the zipper with plastic boxes. But I’ve already worn my Crush on Retro jacket more times than the Comet has been worn and the zipper is still perfect.

My "youngest" Eastman Luftwaffe jacket today. Although it's not "young" per se.
Still has the original Blue cotton lining showing wear now.
was main re-zippered with YKK a while back,did a thread on it at the time.
No RIRI availability in Australia.
8C on the out, 22C on the home motorcycle run. Perfect for that.
