Why two watches?

I’ve heard of ‘double wristing’ in the watch collectors forums. I think it was Norman Schwarzkopf who used to do this - maybe one set to local and one set to Pentagon time?

I'll have to get a couple at some point. It's a nice thing to have to hand. This is the stock image:

They also do them in navy blue; if I didn't already have a navy peacoat, I might actually have been tempted by the navy one as well, though without the shoulder pads.

It's interesting how in recent years a lot of places have started making an expensive version... Lewis do one. Granted, they put a lot more leather on it (the full back) than the now traditional look, but it's also, well.... Lewis money. I paid a little more for this version (by about £15 or so; I paid £130 for mine) with the nubuck instead of the vinyl (which has kinda been the standard since at least the 60s), but I've never quite understood the idea of spending hundreds on one. Seems to me to kinda lose the point of what they are: a basic, utilitarian, working man's jacket. Ben Nevis have been making these in England (as they still also do with their Harringtons) to this pattern since 1962. Sizing is generous; I'm an **l in just about everything else, but this the XL is a great fit on me.

Nice shirt. Looks to be Wallace tartan.

I really like this!

Oh yes for sure watch guys make this forum look perfectly moderate lol
I too double "f#@t" at times especially if I am keeping track of another time zone...... Or I can't choose between two of my babies that day lol

I like that!

I'll try to have the time, too. I hate looking at the exact time. It's stressful even if there isn't anything going on.

In regard to two watches, makes sense if you want to keep insides of both cuffs shredded in an equal measure.
Luckily if you collect fine mechanical timepieces the secret is they don't really tell accurate time!!

Im wearing my Lesco again , but today with the replacement belt loop I made for it.

Up close it's a lot more of a deep reddish brown.

But it passes the 5ft smell test well enough.

It sticks out a bunch now, but should eventually break in and flatten out more.

The jacket is far from perfect and has a few other issues that I've just gotta live with, but I'm doing my best to just own it's character.
