Found this 1 of 1 G1 type sample in the Simmons Bilt outlet section on their website and took a chance as the price seemed right, $330 all in, and the listed measurements did too. I'm glad I did!

Other than the sleeves, which though a bit long they're not overly so, the fit feels right. I love the color of the fur collar and the 24 oz canvas. It's heavyweight and an interesting alternative to leather, but completely comfortable out of the box. First wear today. I'm interested to see how it will break in.

How’s it feel? Seems like they can be difficult to get the fit right…

thanks for the feedback. the leather of Moholland i tried on was quite soft (even though it was horsehide) so it fit easily when worn. honestly if i hadn’t the information beforehand i would have thought i was wearing a steerhide jacket.

Still near f’ing 90 but had to show this one off. A real pinnacle of sorts for me as this style from E/W is an absolute non-starter due to size. This IBEX is actually superb. Fits like an actual 44”, beautiful collar and the leather is surprisingly nice! Has decent heft and tons of grain. I prefer it vastly to the original and Aero I tried. Finally knocked this one off the board and for dirt cheap!
