What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Received this recently from sweet sweet guy @TartuWolf who really went above and beyond.

I’m not really sure about the fit just yet. I like the taper but the sleeves are a little short and I have too much room in the upper arms (got to work on those biceps curls !).

Would like to hear what you guys think.

It looks pretty good overall.
The sleeve length to me is at the borderline. Any shorter and I probably wouldn't like wearing it.
Most on here prefer longer sleeves though. (around the base of the thumb)

I think when you say too much room in the upper arms, seems like you're mostly referring to the side pic. Fwiw, I think that's good for mobility's sake - I've tried jackets which fit snug around my arms, but then it feels uncomfortable moving my arms around (even if I'm just walking).

Indeed, any shorter sleeves and the classifieds probably would’ve been graced with another thread.

@TartuWolf suggested that it might fit perfectly with a sweater beneath and I think he’s right. I’ll wait for fall and winter to come before deciding.

That's a good idea, especially if the color is close to the jacket's color. I've got one that's a little short in terms of sleeve length. But fortunately it comes with black storm cuffs which makes the sleeves look fine imo.

It's a little more visible on the right sleeve below.

Apart from the sleeve length (which seems tolerable, not awful by any means, especially considering the are zipped cuffs) the fit looks perfect to me. The upper sleeves might feel roomy, but it doesn't show visually if you ask me.
Give some layering a go, see how it feels. My new LW with roomy sleeves feels awkward with a t-shirt, but wears like a dream with a thick wool sweater!

Not today but my heavily modified Vanson B from JP saw some stage time not so long ago!
One of the songs we did was "Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild" which has associations with Vanson for me as the music video features scenes from the movie "Easy Rider" and Vanson does a version of that jacket that is quite similar to this one but with added American flag features.
It was way too hot to wear this jacket on stage and I came of all drenched with sweat, but it was worth it for the looks and vibe!

I ordered a Vanson Maverick in Brandy Roma on the 11th and it arrived on the 17th! I was not expecting the jacket as it's a special order with a 8-9 week time frame. Anyway, I'm more than pleased with the jackets early arrival and have some images to share. It's quite warm here in Central VA so I've only worn the jacket inside the AC - no worn pics just some taken outside. The color is quite striking and changes depending on the light. It appears overly red in the outdoor sunlight but in more subdued indoor lighting it's not as vibrant. The Roma leather is super nice - very soft and loaded with character/grain with only light wearing so far. Thanks to TORFJORD for his postings of his Maverick which was a catalyst for getting one along with saving 10%. The up charge for the Roma leather over the Comp Weight is a bargain.
