Very Interesting. You don't see many "Zip" branded zippers in Canada; it's usually a Lightening. The other thing that I find interesting is that yours has a distinctly 50s cut with the action back and overall feel while the other 2 examples here are 40s Half-belts. They all have more of a Moto vibe more than a hunting one which is cool for vintage wool. You said yours is zipper on the left yes?Thank you. I wear it fully zipped with throat latch closed. The latch comes off if you choose. Especially warm and a comfortable jacket to wear.
Do you or the moth have any ideas? The leather trim and buttons look similar. Never heard of a ZIP branded zipper. It has a Canadian feel.
Looks good to me man! Congrats. I like it when they fit like that. Think it's the intended fit but I'm no authority. My newly arrived vintage Aero Highwayman. It’s big by about half an inch, but not too noticeable I think. Feels comfortable and looks really good - which is all that matters to me.

That detailed write up deserves better picturesSimmons Bilt black goat Klondike. Olive stitching, chest pocket altered to remove outer cording, wrist cuffs omitted; straight line finish. Triangular patches added to chest and hand warmers pockets. Inner pocket is made of the olive cotton lining, not leather faced. Brown corozo buttons. This is a relatively nice and simple modification of their pattern. The back is yoked as usual.
Like the Aero in dark seal, this is a lighter hide (the SB is lighter than the Aero, but there isn't much in it; both were 1.2 mm but this is more pliable). The neck is really comfortable - somehow, the weight is distributed differently from other jackets I own (suit jackets and blazers approximate the neck 'weight' of this jacket).

Mine is tippy-top quality all round; it's in the freezer for a few days to ensure there are no moths hiding..
.I'll be keeping an eye out for more vintage Acme wool. Especially a cool black one like @Nacho's!
Glorious
Killing it.
I'll take some of the jacket and post them. I have no photographic skill whatsoever. That detailed write up deserves better pictures
